Durmaz was absolute garbage since he came on. What an idiotic free kick to give away.

Omfg Sweden played like such fkin cowards at the end, they were against 10 men ffs.
And that tackle was beyond moronic, why would you do that when Toni *bleep* Kroos is your opponents' FK taker?

Safe to say Durmaz will probably never see pitch time again. Who gives a foul in that position in that minute
We deserved more from the game. If only Toivonen was a few years younger. Guidetti and Thelin aren't half as good at winning duels. We defended faaaar to deep

Brazil will still absolutely whoop this Germany though.

Kudos to Kross though great performance by him. The new generation of german players (25 and younger) are all frauds so the likes of Kroos & Reus have to do that extra work to cover them.

The same Brazil that barely beat Costa Rica? OUT.
At least Sweden is a European powerhouse.

More than deserved. Had enough chances to score a dozen goals. Very unlucky finishing but showed the mentality of true champions.

Wouldn't blame Durmaz too much tbh. Sweden as a team just capitulated in the last 15-20 mins, couldn't get out of their half even after the red card. Germany were simply the better team.

Well deserved by the German team and I'm glad they're still in the competition. Proper positive thinking team.

The Brazil-Germany rematch lives on
Now we just got to make sure Brazil and Mexico don't bottle their 1st place finishes

This was a lucky escape for you
There's no escaping Brazil
You look more vulnerable on the counter than Spain do. When you're struggling to keep up the pace against the likes of Toivonen and Forsberg , what confidence do you have to keep it up against Neymar/Costa/Willlian/Jesus etc ?
Too many cracks in this German team. A more well equipped team will surely exploit it.

@Doc, What can I say. RM players are dominating this tournament. Kroos MOTM, as soon as Gomez came on I knew we'd suffer. They had no CF before that and noone to target. With him on Werner could player on the wing over Draxler and he did a much better job. In the end the German bench made the difference. Gomez, Brandt they were brilliant when they came on. We have no bench and lost all energy causing us to defend deeper and deeper.

Brazil won't park it like Sweden and Mexico did, actually I welcome a team that will try to attack and leave some space behind for Werner to maneuver in as he has been completely invisible surrounded by 3 CB's.
Hopefully Löw's obsession with starting Draxler is gone too and he'll finally play the best attacking options together.
Anyway I'm not seeing this great Brazil like team some of you are, they have been bailed out by some individual quality just like Germany. It'll be a close game for sure and neither team is getting "whooped".

It's yet another game at this World Cup where the team that tries to sit back and hold what they have has been punished late on. 1-0 is not a safe scoreline by any means this year.

Mexico parked it Counter attacking because you have zero defensive protection isn't parking it.

Brazil was always known for its overwhelming talent, Germany for its grip and fighting spirit until the last minute. I hate to bring that to you but this Brazil team is not talented enough to outtalent Germany the way they did in the past. They might win because of the errors in defence or in midfield though. In a normal game in 90 minutes, Germany would beat them 7/10 times.
