Next manager
this guy, he is a goner, my prediction he will quit himself and leave instead of going through the process of gutting this team of key players (if we even do that).
He has defended this team through and through, i hardly imagine him making tough decisions to discard players or to try new things.
So most likely we will have a new coach.
i will throw my favorites
1) Lopetegui
2) Tuchel
3) Sarri but this will not happen obviously.
inbefore we hire a freshly sacked Emery out of PSG lol

You know who it’s probably going to be? Probably Lowe, or Pochettino.

Re: Next manager
Honestly, it doesn’t really matter who comes in unless Benz and Ronaldo go. Granted, the problems seem to becoming more complex, but if our forwards can’t score, which they have proven they can’t, we aren’t going to change the results.
Fun stat- this is the first time in RM history that at this point in the season no single player has more than 4 goals.

Re: Next manager
on one end you need to revamped the team, but the problems that i see, week to week, and that started in 2016, are problem related with how we play football as a team.
It's not possible to have 9-10 players underperforming at the same time, if that happens, then something is broken from a tactical point of view. I continue to believe that's the case.
You look at today's game vs Celta, we played well in first half, and then in second half, AGAIN, Zidane was outcoached because guess what? tactician actually improve their teams throughout the game and exploit tendencies and gaps they see evident in first half. Celta just ripped us on the break in second half. just like Barca did, and just as many other teams have done this season. And we are talking about second table la liga teams.
This manager is mediocre. Today, after multiple months of saying "we are playing well, the goals will come" he finally admitted that he needs to find what's wrong, he is responsible. Glad you are joining the party.
Deez, we need a manager whose understanding of football, and tactics is a little more advanced. Like Sports once said, we need a talent coach. No need to buy uber talented players, if we dont have someone that can leverage that quality. Pochettino doesnt fall in that description imo.
Tuchel is out there waiting, let's go grab him.

Re: Next manager
I personally cannot rip into Zidane like I would if it were any other manager due to my own bias towards the great man. Way too many fond memories of him as a footballer to be all venomous.
That being said, writing is so on the wall, it best be in Neon. Zidane's tenure is over. Even if we luck out in the UCL, it's done. When Kova, a player who generally speaking shows fight and tenacity, doesn't have any for another must win match, things have definitely gone subterranean. Just so much wrong with how the team is playing and I think whatever Zidane is doing just is not cutting it anymore.
Out of respect, I can see the club giving him the option to quit than straight up firing him but if this continues, he'll no longer have that option.
I do make fun of Tuchel but is he really all that good like Hans say he is or just another German being sold to us like they did with Thomas Mueller?

Löw has loads of club experience tbf. He got fired from a club in Bundesliga, in 2nd Bundesliga, from two clubs in Turkey AND two clubs in the Austrian league.
Oh please god make it happen

Because he’s been rumored with the RM job for years, and he likely won’t continue with Germany after the WC (he might have even announced he won’t already?).

Re: Next manager
Low did good with Germany. He did take advantage of what Pep was doing at Bayern, the same way Del Bosque leveraged Barca's success under Pep, but he is doing fantastic.
he would defnitely be in my top choices, but when big clubs hire managers, they look at big names.

Demon must be happy now, he's been calling for this since we won 2 CLs in a row and 1 La Liga.
Can't wait for the new coach he always wanted to win more

Re: Next manager
oh boy, here we go again. the new manager better not have some excuse like "we need time to start winning things", that we need time conversation should be thrown out of the window. seems mr nick was right about zidane leaving instead of having to rip apart this team. for a variety of reasons which i can't expand upon, i don't have any thoughts or opinions about a valuable replacement

Re: Next manager
I think it's great news, for the sake of his own development as a coach. As for the club, it's always a gamble what type of replacement we'll get. Some changes will likely be made to our starting XI, and I hope we get a coach who can instill a similar type of calmness to the dressing room, which was one of the things I appreciated most about Zisou.

@thimmy , the dressing room calmness is a concern of mine too. for real madrid to go three straight years without any sort of locker room incident whether with players, the manager or players agents is not normal

Re: Next manager
I stand by what I said, I think it’s pretty likely we go with Poch or Lowe. I’ve definitely warmed to the idea of Lopetegui, and maybe he is up for the challenge. I would consider those 3 the most likely candidates IMO with a second tier of Conte, Allegri, even Wenger being considered.
If I’m honest, I would have liked ZZ to stay another year as this will likely be a transitional period for us and could use some calmness to our next phase, but I understand why he would leave. Any of the above managers will be fine, I have my favorites, but I’m not even sure it matters too much who is managing so long as it’s not too much of a step down like Benitez was.

Only Zidane is coming victorious of this
The club has lost

Hope he doesn't go to seria a ..his football will become more boring
