Diaz plays on Mane's side and is on about 70k a week lol
Besides we were the only club at the start of Covid that did not ask our players to give up money and didn't let any staff go. Our players took cuts a year after Covid started and it was peanuts
Typical premface lumping us together with Barca just because
Doesn’t matter and haven’t you guys been trying to trim the wage bill since the past 2-3 years, calling you guys out together was more towards the fact that even one player receiving exorbitant amounts only trickles down the rest of the wage bill with higher new contracts than the norm and that is something you can afford and we cannot. It just leads to bench players earning 200k a week doing nothing within no time.
Our wage bill is already quite high after a couple of years of competition related clauses getting triggered. We do not need to extend that for Salah if he truly wants money over playing for Liverpool while still being the highest earner. Take him Perez and give him 600k a week.
No, we have a salary ladder. And in order to finance players like Mbappe and Haaland, players in that tier will have to leave. As such players like Bale and Hazard are encouraged to leave. Those two are mistakes i don't think we'll ever repeat. Bale got a raise after our CL win and we let Ronaldo go so that he could be the alpha but he obviously failed. We got Hazard because ZZ was obsessed with him. He like Salah was never on our radar before.
Why do you think we are uninterested in Pogba despite him being free soon? He'll never fit into our salary structure.
We have never had unhappy players on our squad regarding wages apart from Ronaldo. Look at the wages Kroos, Modric and Benz etc get compared to other players in the same positions on other teams. But there is structure to the salaries on our team which is envied by CEOs of other rival teams.
Anyways Salah is 30 years old, unless a team is desperate enough to give him the salary he thinks he deserves he'll never be able to get it. Liverpool should just call his bluff. That ship sailed long ago imo. He's now at that age where either he puts pen to paper or goes to a team that may pay him the same amount and where he wont be the alpha which he is at Liverpool.
This will be another Ramos situation imo. Salah and his agent will huff and puff and in the end after all that drama he'll sign the contract anyways

Who is Salah's agent? Seems pretty typical these days... for some reason I cant imagine Liverpool without Salah though...hes been so vital to them for so long now...

That'll give him the wages he probably wants? Only PSG at this point. Fairly certain City has their own wage structure to adhere to and Madrid under Perez 2.0 aren't keen on signing 30 year olds on huge wages.

Fair, will do more research on your wage structuring.

Can't see Salah going to PSG. I don't think he is a greedy player and will move just for the money. He is a top 5 player in the world and just wants paid like his counterparts across Europe.
He will sign with Liverpool or go to Barca/Madrid

Madrid gets Mbappe, they have a future WC gem in Vini who cannot be benched at this moment. Barca are a bunch of PL rejects or pensioners at this moment so idk if he moves to Spain

Re: Mo Salah appreciation thread
Budget limitations for players salaries for la liga were published today. Barca is negative 144M (only team in the red), while RMad is 739M (by far the highest, nearest team is Sevilla at 199M). Although these numbers don’t effect this season, they will impact next summers signing capabilities. The revenues will be better as we get more post covid, but the limitation will force Barca to shed players to be able to sign and no doubt prohibitive to make a large signing like Haaland or even Salah.

Unbelievable, useless referee. If some of the users watched just a couple of our games they’d be absolutely shocked at how brutal and corrupt African football is. And CAF format is just messed up. Egypt got robbed too. At least Morocco made it. And congrats to DoC for Tunisia making it.

CAF is ridiculously hard to qualify for the WC. They need a new format for qualifying or let more teams in. Insane that Nigeria, Algeria, and Egypt are out

@DoC you guys sneaking in to the world cup without scoring a single goal is peak Tunisia ffs 5 qualifications since 1998 is pretty impressive actually.

But yeah 5 qualifications since 98 and 6 overall is not bad.

But what is this format of pitting the best teams on the continent against each other rather than allowing them to go through groups? Who even allowed this?

On a more negative note, I don't think there is a single team that qualified 6 times without making it past the group state at least once You really need to make it this time.

It's a horrendous format that takes into account FIFA rankings. Teams like Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, and Cameroun dropped out of the top 5 in the past few years, and with only 5 teams qualifying, we were bound to get these sort of play offs.

Re: Mo Salah appreciation thread
That the finalists of the AFCON had to fight a playoff for one spot against each other is fucking tragic, honestly. Africa needs more spots.
Noone needs 3 of Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, one or two suffice. Switzerland and Austria, let them play an Alpine playoff before spamming the qualifying rounds.
Let alone Wales, Scotland, and England, we don't need these silly quasi-nations in there. Let them be the UK and that's it. And reunite fucking Yugoslavia while were at it, here's an idea, Czech and Slovaks could go together too. Poland can join Germany. It's just too much.

I wish, but we're too weak to make it out of the group. But look at the bright side, we'll be the first team ever not to make it out after 6 qualifications
