The fact that this average United team is considered some sort of 'title contender' is embarrassing in itself
I pray we draw you in CL ffs
Y tho
You'd just sit back for 180+ minutes and we'd get 2-3 goals crossing it to Mandzukic
That game would be epic though. Both teams sitting in their respective boxes for full 180 minutes.

Lukaku let the team down today, let's not forget that.
He single handedly gifted City BOTH goals. He missed from 6 yards when given the chance to level it late on.
Lukaku decided the game today.

Half of them were against West Ham which do not count for obvious reasons.

Imagine buying a guy who's known for having terrible ball control, then putting that same guy in key positions to defend set pieces.

Goals scored is irrelevant to Mourinho's mentality and how he wants to play tbh.
You score despite him not because of him.

Doesn't matter who United buy. This is how they'll play in big games under Mou. It's bearable so far because of the lack of CL. Wait until this is the norm in every big CL game. Fans gonna rage hard.

You can see how their fans start screeching when a United player has the ball as they rarely see it nowadays
That's 'good football' for United fans

you remind me of madrid fans that were defending mourinho back in the days, repeatedly pointing at the number of goals his team was scoring to justify him not being a defensive coach. but then in every big game he would go and play cowards tactics, and would draw or lose more often than not.Firenze wrote:Unique wrote:Mourinho is so anti football. THat's why i am also confident that you will soon turn on him and wish to have a different type of coach.
Mou used the same tactics as allardyce today, plain and simple, at home, against the league leaders when they are 8 points down. Now 11 and the title is all but lost.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 5
Really, really disappointing match from Mourinho. Yes, I say Mourinho, cause even despite not having as much quality as City in his service, he had a chance to force the game upon City in Old Trafford while being how many points down? But instead decided to be his pessimistic self and play for accidents that might play his way. It was the opposite.
Just watch the last 15 minutes when United actually tried to dictate the play a bit, you could see this City team was not all perfect and unbeatable. If only United had played with more boldness from the start...oh well.

you score 5-6 goals against the bottom teams then park the bus at home against any team in the top 10. Mourinho is fat Sam 2.0 with far more cash to spend.Firenze wrote:Unique wrote:Mourinho is so anti football. Simply put the lack of CL means they barely see 'big games' under Mou
When they get a difficult group and add another 6-8 big CL games where United don't touch the ball in their own stadium, the fans will turn rapidly.

Nah. I'm not arguing that Mourinho is a coward, it's well documented he's like that in big matches. I'm just arguing against the narrative we're a boring team. If people say we're boring against big teams..I'd agree. (even if we did just put a bunch of goals past Arsenal in an unbelievably entertaining match)
That said, we would be beating scrub teams by 4 goals even without him. IDGAF about Mourhino, he can leave at the end of the season for all I care (and I hope he does if we don't win CL)

Big games is the metric which defines elite teams. Some try to attack and win, like pool and even arsenal, other cowers away and try to park the bus.
It's mostly Mourinho that does that among big teams across europe. Every other top team works to control the game to a certain extent.
United are boring in that regard

Too old and weak for this business now. Tried so hard to capture that brass ring but failed at the final hurdle.
Youngsters like Unique and Frenzy are the future
Unique especially is shown to have a larger than life personality with his lack of punctuation and no chill replies
