bunch of jobbers
Ward
Flanagan
Gomez
Klavan
Grujic
Solanke
Wijnaldum, Henderson, Ox and Coutinho were the only decent players. Coutinho played 45 mins only.
Not surprising again another team scored with their only shots on target while we dominate the shite out of them.
Expected loss today tbh, Should beat them comfortably on the weekend.

we have absolutely zero chance of winning the premier league but we would of had some chance at winning this cup so why put more effort into the game at the weekend than we did in this game.Nishankly wrote:Firenze wrote:I was like meh pool probably fielded a scrubby team, but it's actually a very strong side

Because:
A) Rotation, Keep the squad players match fit for whatever they are worth.
B) You would be the first one to go into a meltdown if Salah pulled his hamstring tonight
C) Assumption: FA Cup greater value probably for Klopp. Considering it starts in January another plus point for this team which can't win right now.

Won't give up so soon ffs. We still have possibly 7 CL matches more. FA cup as well. PL fight for top 6 remaining.
Unique in meltdown confirmed.

You're season "ended" because you went out of the League Cup?
Who gives a shit about this cup? Pretty much everyone is in agreement is should be done away with.

when klopp came I was expecting more than a challange for top 6 after 18 months and 4 transfer windows tbh.Nishankly wrote:Won't give up so soon ffs. We still have possibly 7 CL matches more. FA cup as well. PL fight for top 6 remaining.

Re: 2017/18 English Football League Carabao Cup and FA Cup thread
how do you rate our chances of winning the EPL and UCL. I don't give us much chance tbh. so basically klopp was resting players for the FA cup that starts in January. ok I get people don't rate the lge cup that much but Liverpool need any kind of cup win right now.Hapless_Hans wrote:Unique wrote:I think it's safe to say our season ended tonight. Re: 2017/18 English Football League Carabao Cup and FA Cup thread
In a way its a good thing Liverpool got ko'ed early. You guys dont have the squad depth to engage in 3 competitions at a single time.
Nobody gives a damn about lg cup. Eventhough the counterpoint thrown around that every trophy is important and success breeds winning mentality, still a domestic cup run shouldnt come at the cost of failure in the league especially if the team is not big enough.
Stability in the league position (3rd or 4th) and a good FA cup run would be many times better imo for you guys.
All that being said, it is awesome Klopp getting all prickly lately in his body language and interviews.

Meanwhile, City are in a goalless draw at home against Championship side Wolves, with a team of
Bravo, Danilo, Mangala, Adarabioyo, Zinchenko, Bernardo, Toure, Sterling, Gundogan, Aguero, Jesus.
Aguero, Adebayor, Shevchenko AND JEsus on the pitch at once. Pep is outdoing his attacking approach,

This is embarrassing, losing to a mid-table Championship at home
