M.E.N. Sport understands the 28-year-old has discussed linking up with his former Chelsea manager and a deal is dependent on United and the Premier League champions agreeing a transfer fee.

Mourinho was keen on signing Matic last year but Chelsea coach Antonio Conte refused to sell the Serbia international, who started in 30 of the champions' 38 Premier League fixtures during their title-winning campaign.

The M.E.N. revealed last week Mourinho had earmarked Matic as the holding midfielder to grant Paul Pogba a freer role next season.

Azpi would be a great signing for Barca, I keep seeing Chelsea players linked with other clubs though. I don't know why teams think it's realistic to be taking their starters though. Far from it. They won't sell unless they want to and Azpi unlikely to move.

Yep. No chance they lose one of their key players. The era where Spanish clubs can poach top players from the big epl sides is over. At best they can bully Spurs or Pool but even that seems to be a difficult task these days. GOAT league money is flowing like water literally.
