Praising Ancelotti for his performances is incredibly ignorant, i'm happy to see it though even if i still question whether he can still fit long term.

Thiago was nowhere near as good last season under Pep, and Ancelotti has made him the central player of his Bayern team from minute one.

hasn't been injured in what feels like 3 seasons

anyway, talks about a contract renewal with a couple of players, including Thiago, will start beginning of next year (that's what the SportBild item fueling all this is about).
Since Flick has taken over, Thiago hasn't been starting as regularly as he used to and thus the article claims he's not too happy about is and "even thinks about a possible return to La Liga".
Actually, Thiago had it coming to be benched for a couple of games, which Flick did, and now he's back in. Nothing to see here.

He was most definitely world class for a period of three years in Bayern at least as I cannot say about now given Kovac's tenure has zapped any interest in me following the club but for that said period he was amongst the best midfielders in the world.
