open chat for the game tonight RG pls
might make a thread for it if not
though considering how I expect it to go tonight it might be better to not leave a massive footprint for ridicule

if it were just Ibra out I would be optimistic, but there's a good chance we start Lingard at striker tonight. Let that sink in.
IMO anything less than 3-0 and they should let us go through

I'm not trolling when I say this but how can you have the most expensive squad ever assembled and with 2 injuries and a suspension your left with lingard up front.Firenze wrote:if it were just Ibra out I would be optimistic, but there's a good chance we start Lingard at striker tonight. Ibra, Rooney, Martial and Rashford are all out
so basically all of our players that are capable of playing striker..4 players better than any options you have up front might I add, that's more depth than most teams have
I just realized I can strike this up to poor luck again

4 world class strikers in the squad in Zlatan, Rashford, Martial, Rooney.
All for of them injured or unavailable AT ONCE.
Just unbelievably bad luck.
If you think of the sum of all our bad luck this season. Draws where there should be wins. Random scrub gk producing WC saves where there should be goals.
With our luck being anywhere near normal we'd be contending for the league.
Basically all of Conte's good fortune is riding on our bad luck coattails.
And yet he has the gall to mouth off against Mourinho

Mourinho is thanking his lucky stars tbh.
He can now do what he always wanted to do and no one will be pissed at him.... play with zero strikers

if you're able to read between the lines and pick up on something then even a chimpanzee could
Hans has my posting style nailed down, even better tbh.
S & I forming the 2 man Powertrip since we're both gonna finish the season as champions of Europe culminating in the match of a lifetime in the Supercup. There's no place for anyone else in this alliance ffs.

Better than starting with Fellaini or Young upfront I suppose.

Ideally all things considered it has to be Mata and Mkhi leading the line. Mata is one of the best finishers in the team moreover and Mkhi too is somewhat clinical to play the role. But the thing that works against the Mata argument is obviously the obvious one, his lack of pace. Plus he has rarely performed against his former club ever since leaving for us. So, its kind of a 50/50 choice. With Lingard you get some directness and pace to stretch their backline, but piss poor end product and where as with Mata we get end product and quality but zero pace.

Has to be Mkhi for me. Haven't heard that Rashman is out 1000% yet so maybe he will play.
I will not even bother watching the game if Fellaini or Young are playing as striker.

Tbf its the absence of Rash and Martial that is hurting us more. Ibra most of the time flops in big games (except the Liverpool game last time ofc where he scored the vital equalizer).
