Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Virgil Van Dijk has verbally agreed a move to Liverpool, according to stunning reports that have emerged this morning.
It’s claimed by readliverpoolfc.com that Van Dijk has agreed to join Liverpool this summer - providing the club qualify for the Champions League.
The stunning report says Van Dijk has already spoken with boss Jurgen Klopp about the club’s future plans.
And it adds that Southampton have all but accepted that they’ll lose the centre-back this summer.
A fee in the region of £50m has been mooted.

@Firenze
we are like 17th in the long ball stats for the PL this season, no idea where this long ball myth has come from, under Mou we've only resorted to it in the last 10 mins against PTB teams playing Fellaini at CF
we will also be in the CL
also from his comments I guess that rules out Atletico, who was it saying he had an agreement with them already
welcome Laca

What happened to De Vrij? Wouldn't mind Mussachio at all if it means we are signing De Vrij.

Those are actually solid transfers.
Even our two great teams signed tier 2 players when we were down in the gutter. And Milan are in a 10 times worse position than we both were in our difficult times.
Milan fans should be happy with this transfer activity really.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Musacchio is worse than every Juve & Utd CB by a mile. He only looks like a decent transfer when you compare him to the likes of Zapata and Paletta. They won't go anywhere without drastically better signings IMO. Milan still have name recognition but 1-2 more seasons of this and they will struggle to attract anyone but scrubs IMO. Better spending that money more wisely.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Musacchio will join Zapata in being just good enough to be around, but not being actually good enough to succeed.
That signing doesn't help at all.

The name recognition doesn't mean anything anymore. Their only advantage they have now is that they are based in a city like Milan otherwise they have been consistently been finishing between 5th-8th/9th in the last 4 seasons and it will be extremely hard to convince tier 1/top talents to play for them unless they are throwing oil money which is probably not happening due to ffp.
Actually don't know much about this Mussachio bloke but they must see something in him when even their new management of directors are keen on signing him.

Will they though? I've never watched him so I don't know if he is GOAT. There are just pretty much no links anywhere to the biggest teams.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Can imagine the dozens of articles on Milan twitter or blogs analysing the departure of our old ownership and welcoming the new ones with open arms and accusing you of racism or xenophobia if you criticise conglomerate takeovers from China.
They are mostly oblivious to the fact that this a disaster waiting to happen and we will NOT be spending big and only marginally bigger than Silvio did with us given we have to pay back the hedge fund.
Already this was embarrassing as it is the whole takeover but its worse that we are taken over by literal swindlers as if we didn't learn from Inter already.
Frank Kessie *bleep* off

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
btw this was Loserpool's transfer window the last time they got CL football
Rickie Lambert – Forward – Southampton – £4m
Emre Can – Midfielder – Bayer Leverkusen – £10m
Adam Lallana – Midfielder – Southampton – £25m
Lazar Markovic – Forward – Benfica – £20m
Dejan Lovren – Defender – Southampton – £20m
Divock Origi – Forward – Lille – £10m
Javier Manquillo – Right-back – Atletico Madrid – Loan
Alberto Moreno – Left-back – Sevilla – £12m
Mario Balotelli – Forward – AC Milan – £16m
I wouldn't be so sure you'll be signing anyone decent this time either.

Not against Kessie as much as you all. He's young, had a great season but it does increasingly look like he was carried by Gagliardini.
