Liverpool have made an offer to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez, according to reports in Spain.


Cadena SER claim that Jurgen Klopp views the 19-year-old as the perfect candidate to solve his issues on the left side of Liverpool’s defence.

Hernandez has a €24million (£20.5m) release clause in his current deal with Atletico, while it’s reported that Liverpool have offered the France Under-20 international a contract worth five times his current salary with the Spanish club.

Hernandez is yet to make his senior debut for Atletico Madrid and is currently spending the season on loan at Alaves.

The Frenchman’s current contract with Atletico expires in 2021, while he has also attracted interest from Real Madrid.

After signing a dab fraud for €120M, I don't think my heart can take it having to deal with the prospect of losing our best player for peanuts although I suppose it was always inevitable.

But I guess Raiola can get us to sign Donnarumma for €25M (or maybe even less)so there's some consolation I suppose.

not heard anything concrete about a release clause, they will have to pay like 70-90m minimum and I can't see Madrid doing that.

lets not forget you spent 600 million on a squad that should be able to cope with 8 extra games

Work on your math. Plus we've been injury hit all season. Unreal luck. No europe is MASSIVE for clubs trying to compete, look at Chelsea and Pool. Not having to fly to Russia midweek and back does wonders for a side.

If you had europe this year you wouldn't even be in the top 6, I can say that with conviction. Imagine the likes of Woodburn and Arnold having to step up.
