why/how is Nzonzi so good?
He is looking like the football unicorn of the season. He does everything on the pitch on or off the ball. How was he in England? I still don't understand how guys like this go under the radar for such large Period their careers. He looks like prima yaya who knows how to defend

Nzonzi was basically shite throughout his Stoke career. He was decent at the end similar to what Capoue is doing at Watford at best.

They go under the radar because big clubs want the quickest solution possible to a problem and a player like N'Zonzi, while decent at Stoke, wasn't one of those solutions. Someone like Schneiderlin who was standing out in an overperforming Southampton team was always the more popular option.
When he was at Blackburn N'Zonzi was frequently linked with a big move, mostly to Arsenal (big French midfielder = Arsenal target in the late 2000s). Blackburn were god awful and no decent club was buying any of their players. So N'Zonzi ended up at Stoke to play as an 8 for Hughes and did okay but neither nor Stoke were setting the world alight. Big clubs probably knew about him but didn't see enough to take a chance. Why would they when they go spend £20m+ on somebody performing at a high level.
Even at Sevilla he wasn't outstanding. His first season was indifferent; overshadowed by Krychowiak as a holding midfielder, and never given the responsibility of building from the back that Banega had. Even Sampaoli was apparently considering Ganso to be his 6, not N'Zonzi. But N'Zonzi obviously proved he had the balance, strength and quick thinking to play that role in Sampaoli's system. He looks amazing because he has so much to do and somehow pulls it all off. Now some big clubs is going to buy him for four times what they could have got him for two years ago.

I actually always that N'Zonzi was pretty good for Stoke, but it was very clear he was being misused (especially in hindsight). I disagree with those saying he wasn't much good though, whenever I watched him I thought of him as a good player.

Re: why/how is Nzonzi so good?
He was indeed good in his last Stoke year tbh
I admit to not watch Stoke matches because I don't like rugby , but when we sold them Shaqiri and there was the name of N'Zonzi linked to us I got informed on their forum or other websites.... You could read ratings where he was hyped as the best Stoke player (and not just this, of course..) after the season that gave the 9th place trophy to Potters fanbase.
