Mustafi still unbeaten lol. Was our worst player on the pitch though

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
I'm not even that happy about it. I mean, it's good that we came back and salvaged something from the game. But we were thoroughly outplayed and deservedly 3-0 down in a must-win game to average opposition. The come back doesn't mask the blatant deficiencies in the team.
Also Giroud wasting time by celebrating after his goal was so unnecessary. Then we were under pressure for the next four minutes Such a joke of a team.

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
It's weird because we have had matches where he absolutely saved us. But then some of his GK is extremely Almunia-esque.
Don't really know the ideal solution.
Ospina has done well in the CL. Would make sense if we play him in the PL too but Arsene would never do that.

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
He's declining. Obviously still has the ability to pull off great saves and keep us in games, but perhaps the consistency isn't there for him anymore. At the very least he hasn't become a calamity like Casillas has.
We knew this when we signed him tbh. It was part of the reason Chelsea benched him for Courtois.
Ospina might pull off more saves but is more likely to flap at a set-piece.
I hope we're looking at Jan Oblak. We'd have a no. 1 for the next decade if we got him.

Will Atletico ever sell Jan Oblak?

doesn't he have some crazy release clause?
Hopefully over to new manager to sort it anyway

That pissed me off, we lost focus when he did that. We still had the time and momentum to add one more but he goes around celebrating stupidly

They won't want to but if they finish outside the top four and lose Simeone there could be a chance of making it happen. Can't think of any other top class keepers.

Could go for Joe Hart but I wouldn't consider him an improvement either.

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
So in other news it looks like Coquelin has pulled a muscle, so we're suddenly down to two central midfielders and one of them has a notoriously dodgey hamstring
We may suddenly see a lot more of Maitland-Niles.

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
I want to see more of Niles tbh. He looks alright.
Ramsey-Xhaka IMO was good in the 2nd half. I think it has potential.
We have preston away next so we might see some rotation there. Some of the players need a rest badly too.
Swansea (A)
Burnley (H)
Watford (H)
All 3 matches are winnable. No excuse either.

Re: Bournemouth Vs Arsenal
Ramsey is very, very bad. As we've said since the myth that was 13/14, he needs to keep it simple to get back to his best.
Bellerin and Mustafi were appalling.
Giroud saved us so I'll let the 20 seconds lost to the celebration go.
Cech is declining but still capable. Not concerned with that for now. He didn't have his best game but at least we know that if his form dips badly enough, Ospina has been sharp this season and can step in. Can't say the same about every position.
Lucas has done more than enough to start. That finish was sublime. With Coquelin out and Elneny going to AFCON, Xhaka and Ramsey will be the pivot, so there's Ramsey's discipline as a CM to look forward to
We're not challenging for the title, especially against a team setting win streak records so it's 2-3 we're aiming for and falling very short of atm.
