Re: UCL Last 16: Sevilla vs Leicester City
Is Sampaoli at this game?
Nvm just saw him guess he's banned from touchline.

The way the Porto defenders are playing they may go down to 8 or 9 before all is said and done with.

I do hope they have a camera filming him in his glass cage all game and then release the footage as a documentary.
When they showed him at the beginning gesticulating and shouting to himself I had to laugh out loud

Sevilla should have won by four or more goals, but sleepwalked in the 2nd half and paid for it. Suddenly this is a competitive tie despite the vast difference in quality between the teams.

just stop and imagine for a moment
Craig Shakespeare, Champions League winning manager
Can see them sticking with him until the end of the season if he takes them through

Re: UCL Last 16: Sevilla vs Leicester City
If they go through it will be down to their cnut players wanting to prove to their haters and media wrong and not down to their pleb caretaker manager imo. Saw real hunger and drive against Liverpool. Will result in a great game if they show that same desire here too.
But then, cant see them keeping a clean sheet here. So, might need 3 goals and that may prove to be a huge task against the likes of Nzonzi.

Though Sevilla really dominated LC 1st leg, really not sure how this one would turn out. LC have that new coach smell and Sevilla been dropping silly points.

What's the odds of Uefa putting Leicester through, just to have an easy opponent to give to Uefadrid next round?

I wouldn't mind Barcelona in the QF, we could do with an easy opponent.
Also, really not sure how this one would play out. Really not a straightforward tie at all.

It actually looked very straightforward still during the first leg - Leicester under Ranieri completely in shambles and Sevilla easily dominating.
The fact that they achieved merely a 2-1 didn't really register with me then, it didn't seem that grave.
Now, with the changed manager there is a changed dynamic at Leicester and it has added a twist to the tie.
Now suddenly the realization is surfacing that 2-1 is not a very good result AT ALL, a very disappointing one even considering the one-sidedness of the first leg.
And the changed Leicester, a 1:0 at home does not seem that far fetched at all.
It's really interesting, and IMO this proves both Leicester's decision and its timing, to fire Ranieri, was spot on.
Still think Sevilla will go through clearly, the quality gap is too big IMO. But I can't be sure.

if Leicester pressure high up they will score at least 1 goal. Sevilla's defence is trash

Imagine BuLi lower table scrubs Fuchs and Okazaki winning the CL
Somewhere there is a room where Michael Ballack, Bernd Schneider, Ze Roberto, van der Vaart, Pizarro are sitting in the dark, silent, shaking their heads, quietly sobbing

Re: UCL Last 16: Sevilla vs Leicester City
What a rubbish first half by Sevilla. Jesus. The only players that realise it is a UCL tie for them in Ben Yedder and Vitolo. Nasri and N'Zonzi looking like they are scared to be back playing an EPL team.
The flip side, I'm liking LC's play. Solid, nothing fancy and definitely deserved their lead. Really hoping they don't go into breakdown mode.
