Which midfield pairing would you prefer to play against Bournemouth?

Arsenal vs Bournemouth
Arsenal: Arsenal remain without Santi Cazorla (Achilles) and Hector Bellerin (ankle), but Lucas Perez is back in training and could return next week.
Bournemouth: Artur Boruc (back) and Andrew Surman (hamstring) are both doubts for AFC Bournemouth and Eddie Howe will definitely be without Jack Wilshere who is ineligible to play due to the terms of his loan deal. Adam Smith is back after suspension and Jordon Ibe is available after illness.
Arsene Wenger Press Conference
Scouting report
MANAGER
Eddie Howe is rightly considered England’s most promising young coach, as his achievements at Bournemouth are highly impressive. Having led the club to survival in their debut Premier League campaign, they arrive at the Emirates in the top half of the table. Howe likes structured but attack-minded football, and packs his midfield with plenty of passers.
FORMATION
Jack Wilshere has generally played at the top of a midfield trio this season, making Bournemouth’s formation 4-2-3-1. However, with Wilshere ineligible against us, he’s likely to be replaced by Andrew Surman.
This means the midfield trio might be flipped, with Surman sitting deep and allowing the other two slightly more freedom to push forward.
STRENGTHS
Right-back Adam Smith and left-back Charlie Daniels define Bournemouth’s attacking play. They offer tremendous forward running but also technical quality and composure in the final third. Although both can whip crosses into the box, they’re equally likely to play intelligent forward balls to keep passing moves flowing, and almost act as playmakers at times.
The passing quality, meanwhile, starts from the centre-back partnership. Steve Cook and Simon Francis are both ever-presents, and excellent on the ball.
DANGERMAN
This is a cohesive, harmonious side without a defined superstar, and therefore the biggest threat is probably centre forward Callum Wilson, a nippy striker capable of making clever runs in behind the opposition, and an excellent penalty-box poacher.
AREAS TO TARGET
On their only previous trip to the Emirates, a 2-0 Arsenal victory just after Christmas last year, Bournemouth were notably poor at defending set-pieces, with Gabriel nodding in the opener from a corner. This may be another source of chances.

This is such bullshit. I hate these kind of rules. They are a disgrace, and the FA needs to change this ASAP. Distortion of competition. Cowardly. Terrible. Makes me want to puke.
I want to see Wilshere on the pitch showing his mother club ffs. Appearance assists etc.

Usually i'm against that rule, but now is a great time for it. You just know Wilshere would own our midfield and probably score a worldie if he were to play

Re: Arsenal vs Bournemouth (16/17)
Wenger on filling the Santi void
“He’s important to our technical stability in the team, to the quality of our decision-making and to our build-up from deep midfield to the high midfield,” said the boss. “That’s an important stage because it gets the ball out from the defenders.
“We have enough quality players in our side to get around that, even if Santi a massive player for us. We are good enough to find solutions despite the fact he’s not there.”
While Santi’s been out the manager has tried different permutations with Francis Coquelin alongside either Aaron Ramsey, Mohamed Elneny or Granit Xhaka.
The latter has had to wait for opportunities since joining the club in the summer, but Wenger says he’s progressing well.
“I’m very happy with Granit's commitment,” he said. “I think he’s developing well. He hasn’t maybe started enough since the start of the season but he is adapting to a different league, a different way of playing. Overall I’m happy because every day he’s focused on working hard and I’m confident he’ll get his number of games.
“In November you see the first signs of players who need a little breather, especially in areas where you fight and run a lot. I try to combine both to give players fresh legs and also get around the fact that Santi’s not there.”

Jack and Xhaka: strengths and styles
“[Granit] needs to adapt, then we need to find the balance because he plays in a deeper-lying midfield position, and he passes through the lines,” said Arsène Wenger. “He needs to adapt to the way we play and the tactical pace of the English game. I am confident he will do very well.
“Yes [he is taking time to adapt] but that is part of the job. People want you to buy players but when you buy them we only have 11 spaces and not 22, and they feel sorry for the 11 who do not play. You want them to compete and convince you that they can get in the team.
“Granit is more a deep playmaker I think than a box-to-box player. He does not get in the final third of the opposition half a lot. He is more a guy who has a fantastic pass to play through the lines.
“He gets the ball from the defenders and finds the high midfield. His strength is what we call the ‘moderate-value pass’ - the passes that come from deep midfield to high midfield.”
Jack’s qualities are not dissimilar and the manager is encouraged to see him get the regular football he needs at Bournemouth.
“I let him go this season because we bought Xhaka, we have Elneny, Ramsey, and I thought he wasn’t fit enough to be in the position to start games, so I let him go.

Didn't Arsene call Xhaka a B2B before lol?

Re: Arsenal vs Bournemouth (16/17)
Xhaka is not a B2B. He's a DLP. Glad AW has that sorted, at least for now.
Xhaka/Coquelin-Elneny/Ramsey/(Cazorla)/(Wilshere)
That's how we should be looking at it.

It's baffling isn't it? Xhaka claims that we watched him for a year in Mönchengladbach and yet Arsene Wenger has apparently only realized now that Xhaka is not a B2B midfielder.
This is not surprising as Arsene Wenger doesn't seem anymore to have the best judgement on positioning in football. Wilshere, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Alexis, Özil etc... have all gone through this bizarre period under him, it has hopefully passed now.

I take it you made your save files available to Arsene and his staff?
Is there even still such a thing as save files?

Re: Arsenal vs Bournemouth (16/17)
Didn't expect that team Makes predicting the team for the EFL Cup on Wednesday trickier.
Need Walcott and Ox to be sharp and provide the movement in behind. Ball retention shouldn't be a problem with that midfield and Alexis.

Ramsey played the last two games with a broken toe so shouldn't be playing anyway. He's fragile enough as it is.

We are being pressed at home. Somehow we managed to play worse than PSG game. Xhaka is less mobile than Elneny if u can believe it.
