Man Utd: Jose Mourinho says Paul Pogba will not captain club again


Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has told Paul Pogba he will not captain the club again because of concerns about the midfielder's attitude.

Pogba was told of the decision before Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie with Derby.

Mourinho has attempted to underline his authority after an error by Pogba led to Wolves' equaliser at Old Trafford on Saturday and the player's subsequent comments criticising United's tactics.

Mourinho himself confirmed the captain story post match. Before, it was on BBC, Times, Guardian, Telegraph.

Anyway, it's the correct decision. Pogba's behaviour is not captain worthy.

I thought he just confirmed Pogba wasn't second choice for captain now, not that he would never captain the club again, ffs I've seen Ashley Young captain the team. He isn't even wrong, Pogba never should have been a choice for captain. Far more suitable players in the team. But people ran with 'Pogba was told he will never captain the club again' when I never saw comments like that. Pogba isn't a leader, he's a diva and a mental midget. Furthest thing you want from the man with the armband. inb4 Sports.

That said, Mou's still a huge twat and I hope he gets sacked and we can see Pogba play under someone else here rather than have to sell him.

You don't think Mou is gone first? I'm at the point where I don't care with Pogba, have been for a while. Ideally I'd get to see if he isn't a fraud under another manager, but if we can fleece a club for 100m whew. Both of them can GTFO.
