Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 3
Arsenal have been worse than Spurs when I've seen them. They parted like a celibate Luiz's legs for Suarez when we played them.
I'm starting to feel more confident about a top 4 finish. Still need to look at having a back-up plan for when Mane leaves and hopefully Firmino/Coutinho don't get injured for any long periods.
Henderson looking to be a key piece to us finishing in the top 4 again.

Arsenal, Spurs, Leciester and Chelsea played managed 10/12 points. Good stuff imo
Didn't you guys just lose to Deportivo last week? Shit happens.

Alaves. Besides, you're actually proving BC right. Barcelona historically struggles the game after an international break (FIFA virus). You know what's similar to that? Liverpool's historic struggle in recent years to take all three points against scrub teams like Burnley.
Shit happens, every team loses games like those, but Liverpool seem to do so too often. As many have pointed out, Liverpool actually have done well against big teams even before Klopp. His point is that you guys have faced one scrub team so far and lost, so Pool fans shouldn't get ahead of themselves when it's not clear that the whole "losing against scrub teams" issue is gone for good.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 3
I'd be the first one to admit we've been average against scrub sides (stretching back towards Benitez time with us) but we've only done it in one game this season though. And I say this season only because Klopp has actually had a pre-season / his time to work with the squad / implement his style / new players coming in.
We're still adapting to his methods. Still just a bit knee jerk, imo.
I mean, we have 10 points from playing Leicester (champions) and then away trips to Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Burnley... that's a solid start considering all factors imo.

Leicester are starting to look much better again. Granted they're playing weak opposition but there's two main differences: slimani has been excellent as a target man while also having excellent pace and work rate while Mahrez switches wings with albrighton when they double/triple team him.
Arsenal really missed out on slimani. Was not just good with his goals, but his touch really impressed me. It's like he never stops improving

Slimani at Leicester is better for him anyway, at Arsenal he would be most certainly warming the bench. Xhaka was signed in June and still hasn't started a game over Coquelin.
Manchester City have been the most impressive team so far and after that Liverpool. Man Utd, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea have been at a similar level below City and Liverpool.

Team news for Watford vs Man Utd, kicking off at 12:00:
De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Baily, Shaw; Pogba, Fellaini; Rashford, Rooney, Martial; Ibrahimovic
Gomes; Janmaat, Britos, Cathcart, Prodl, Holebas; Capoue, Behrami, Pereyra; Deeney, Igahlo
United's team looking a little top heavy there.

Wouldn't be surprised if Man Yoo struggle today based on the lineup. There's a a lot of firepower there but I struggle to see where the play is going to be set up.
They'll win 5-0 now.

On one side, i agree with EE and RA, we have always performed good against big teams even before Klopp took over but we were not always good at converting those performances into points. So 3 points from direct top 4 rivals might be an advantage at the end of the season.
And there is no way Utd are gonna lose 3 on the trot !

Not impressive from United so far. They are too slow sometimes and there is not enough midfield to support 3 strikers imo.
