Who is the best sporting director?
Who is the best sporting director?
Better phrased, who would you rather have for your club and why?

Re: Who is the best sporting director?
Zorc from BvB
Fabio Paratici from Juve
Monchi from Sevilla
These are the top three based on what the clubs want to achieve.
Marotta isn't Juves sporting director...Paratici is the one that identifies the targets

Re: Who is the best sporting director?
You totally forgot Max Eberl of Borussia M'gladbach
Since he took over for Gladbach in 2008, he
- bought Dante for 2.5 mio Euros
- bought Marco Reus for 1 mio Euros
- got Roman Neustädter for free
- bought Martin Stranzl for 0.8 mio Euros
- got Havard Nordtveit for free
- got Oscar Wendt for free
- bought Granit Xhaka for 8.5 mio Euros
- bought Raffael for 5 mio Euros
- bought Max Kruse for 2.5 mio Euros
- bought André Hahn for 2.25 mio Euros
- got Fabian Johnson for free
- got Ibrahima Traoré for free
- got Tobias Sippel for free
- bought Lars Stindl for 3 mio Euros
- bought Nico Elvedi for 4 mio Euros
- bought Thorgan Hazard for 8.5 mio Euros
- got Tobias Strobl for free
- bought Christoph Kramer (from a direct rival) for 15 mio Euros
- sold Marko Marin (own youth product) for 8.2 mio Euros
- sold Marco Reus for 17.1 mio Euros
- sold Dante for 4.7 mio Euros
- sold Marc-André ter Stegen (own youth product) for 12.5 mio Euros
- sold Max Kruse for 12 mio Euros
- sold Granit Xhaka for 45 mio Euros
Plus he made Gladbach from an elevator team that was always on the verge of relegation to a club that can easily reach the EL/CL places now.

Re: Who is the best sporting director?
Monchi at Sevilla is single handedly keeping Sevilla where they are.

Re: Who is the best sporting director?
The people at Juve are very effective and they build a solid team without overspending (until recently)
Sabatini shouldnt be even in he conversation, too many fatal mistakes.

Re: Who is the best sporting director?
I went with Monchi due to following Sevilla more than the rest though I am sure Zorc can match his achievements easily (read he was a pretty good player too in his playing days).
