Which two teams will go through ?
Re: Champions League 2016-17 | Group E
Wembley curse is real. I don't remember any English club doing well at Wembley in the CL.

The next one is a must win. If they don't win at Monaco, then 100% they are not getting through.

Don't worry, Spurs just focusing on another EPL title charge.

They'll use the excuse "focusing on UCL qualification" too.

Did Spurs really rest "50% of their starting defense" so they'll be fit for Chelsea?

Trippier, Wimmer and Dier are all bench players
Vert and Walker were rested, Alderweireld is injured I believe. So resting 50% sounds accurate.

Keep telling yourself that Dier is a bench player.
Yet he's started every game he's been fit for (4/5 in CL and 9/12 in PL).

Re: Champions League 2016-17 | Group E
James why do you act like some sort of Spurs specialist when you clearly don't follow them?
Dier is a bench player: when Toby and Vert are both fit and fresh he doesn't start, he's the 3rd choice CB, and with Wanyama's arrival he has lost his place as starting DM as well.
If he has a lot of starts it simply means that Toby or Vert have been injured a lot.

Tbf 50% sounds like a lot but in the end we're talking about resting two players.
Kane and especially Son are the reason they are out of it now.

Re: Champions League 2016-17 | Group E
Interesting. Spurs rested two of their starting CBs in a match they needed to win which they subsequently lost so as to have them rested to play Chelsea. A match where they are seeking at to be back in the top 4 with a win where they can at least secure UCL qualification.
You guys sure Pochettino is a "top manager" and this (joke of a) club has serious title aspirations of any sort?

To be fair, had Tottenham been in Leicester's group they would have won the group fairly easily. It's the luck of the draw as they say.

The only players rested were Vertonghen and Walker.
Dier is a bench player this season.
Poch messed up.
These are the facts lmao

I have to say, I'm extremely, and I truly mean extremely, disappointed with Pochettino.
This CL exit has made me reconsider my opinion about him. This is not to say that I don't rate him anymore. But he has to do something great this season to redeem himself, at least as far as I'm concerned.

I hope this will help them to put a better performance against Chelsea and earn at least a draw. Well they have to pretend to be in title race like to other clubs in London
