Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
4-3-1-2 is the way to go. At first I thought, along with Allegri, that Pjanic could be a regista. Well it turns out we were wrong. His favoured position is really as a CAM, where he can use his slick passing and creativity to link up with the forwards. So in my opinion we have our CAM, who can also play as a RCM if need be.
We need to start playing this formation on a regular basis now. It is critical we get Witsel in January so we can free up Pjanic to play the CAM role. We also need an Alves replacement, so I hope we sign Darmian for that role.
Our future looks bright. When you look at the kids coming up and who we are linked with we will be a top team for the next decade at least. Moise Kean, Domenico Berardi, Pol Lirola, Rodrigo Bentancur, Rolando Mandragora. These kids are the future of Juventus. Throw in Franck Kessie and suddenly we have some of the best young talent in the world, with the likes of Dybala, Sandro, Rugani and Pjaca already on the roster.
All we really need is a GIGI replacement and we are set for a long long time. I hope our second half of the season turns out the way we want. I really want us to focus on the CL. I think we have a shot. We need to get Dybala back and to get Higuain back to his Napoli playing days. That is the key for me along with sticking with the 4-3-1-2 with Pjanic as the CAM.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
The midfield 4 looked really good. Packing the mid releases everyone of too much responsibility so that they can do what each does best. This might be a good answer until Pjanic and Khedira figure out their football, or until we get more complete midfielders. I still don't think Pjanic and Khedira should play together in a mid 3 for the time being. So either go with the diamond or start Sturaro over Pjanic as the game requires.
Basically all our midfielders shined against Atalanta except for Khedira.

yeah, i hate this fat *bleep* too
on one side, i was hoping we will never do business ever again with Raiola. But on the other side, we have a year and a half from now to find a proper replacement for Buffon.
i think we should just give Milan/Raiola/Donnarumma what they want because Gigio is the real deal. Will more likely than not be a world-class GK for the next two decades so we better make a deal right now. He already beat us once this season.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Gigio won't come. No replacement could be more perfect but he is Milan's all the way through. Youth product, his brother is at Milan, he is only 16, and is the jewel of the team that just got new ownership and won't want to let go.
Scuffet dissapeared. Meret has a bunch of hype but we can't really say.
Perin would be my choice. He has lost steam but he is only 24 and he has the right character. It will be really hard to replace Buffon for anyone. We need a guy that can stand the pressure and he can do it. Already took hold of Genoa from a young age and excelled. He was Buffon's vice in the NT as well until Donnarumma came along.
He will never be Buffon, but no one can be.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
we need a world-class keeper as soon as Buffon leaves, maybe even next summer if possible...
i don't want Juve to poke around signing random decent keepers and have the GK position be a question mark in the following years.
Donnarumma is right there in front of us, both clubs have done business together several times in the past. I don't think he is an absolute milanista like Maldini, Baresi etc. Everybody has a price in the football world. Raiola is an asshole, don't forget that, so if Juventus give an interesting offer he will be on our side.
Gigio is already enormous, beat us earlier this season. No limits for this young man. He's the real deal you can see that in the way he acts and reacts. Perin doesn't sound like a world-class GK to me, but i have to admit i never watch Genoa unless we face them.

Juve move for young goalkeeper?
Juventus are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a deal for Udinese’s young goalkeeper Alex Meret.
Meret is excellent young GK

Lol, Donnaruma played for a Napoli based club called "club Napoli" before Milan, so he might not be 100% Milanista. Also, he wasn't born in Milan too... So, there is a big question mark.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Milan will never sell us Donnarumma. Never, you can be sure. He might want to come but they won't let him if there is any other choice. Thats like us selling Pogba or Dybala to them.
The only way would be for us to massively outbid any foreign clubs which is unlikely.
Meret has always looked good but he is so unproven that going from Buffon to him could be a disaster. I mean he plays for SPAL, going from that Juve might be too much, unless Neto (or whoever is there) starts for a while. Exciting choice nonetheless.
I would still drop the cash for Perin in 2018.

He had quite the grasp on the Italy #2 spot before the rise of Donnarumma. He is a really impressive player. Very very agile, that his main thing. His reflexes and speed are top notch. He of course doesn't have the command of the backline and positioning hat Buffon has (but no one in the world has it either). If you compare him to a great GK, he is more Casillas than Buffon.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Perin truly has good reflexes, and will improve in the other aspects since keepers usually reach their peak in their 30s. I see on Wikipedia that he played 102 games for 126 goals conceded, which i suppose is a decent record for a Genoa gk. Handanovic, Consigli, Marchetti have similar or worse ratios and are older.
I will pray for Donnarumma until the end, no matter what. I don't think he can be a bust like Courtois, Ter Stegen etc. Might be Buffon's heir from what i saw of him so far. Neto is a decent keeper we already know that from the Fiorentina days, and he might have an improved role after 2018, especially if we buy a young guy like Donnarumma or Perin. Maybe we will alternate "new GK = Serie A"/"Neto = european cup + Coppa" ?
Juve must be careful. We don't want a situation like the one Arsenal had to deal with during the decade between Lehmann and Cech: juggling between 4 or 5 average keepers that make you lose a couple of games in every season. That would be the worst case scenario. At this point i have faith that Buffon retirement will be managed properly tho

Buffon will stay until we need him IMO, or until his perormance drops.
BTW, ter stegen is not a World class GK. Have you seen yhe goal he conceded against Madrid? Buffon would have easily saved it.

People keep forgetting of our own talents. Audero is great, Leali is here and Branescu. Neto has to be the first choice until our next young GK gets experience. Btw Neto is 27 keep that in mind.

Re: Juventus Match Hub 2016-17
Neto might leave this summer, he has already voiced discontent until Allegri started rotating in some games.
Leali had his hype but didn't show too much for Frosinone. Now he is at Olympiacos were I don't watch him, but no one is talking about him so thats not a good sign. He is also only a few months younger than Perin, its clear who is the better one there.
Audero for Juve? we'll see, if he is t be picked then no doubt it won't be in 2018. It will have to be Neto or someone like that for a while.

Yeah that's what i said.
Courtois and Ter Stegen are busts imo. 2 GK who were starters in a big club/league at a young age, with a lot of hype, and didn't live up to it.
Donnarumma looks a better prospect than both.
