Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
are these arsenal - lacazette links serious
I always wondered why nobody was trying to snap him up considering current forward market, is he just not that good? not watched him outside of FIFA where he is insane
recall RG and Sports saying Fekir is better

Fekir isn't a forward and he is a better talent tbh
Lacazette is good but he is good in the french league where Chamakh was a top 3 striker once.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
your current starting striker came from a league where Chamakh was a top 3 striker once
thought Fekir played like Rooney, switching from behind the striker to playing as a striker when needed
anyway I see Laca at Arsenal purely because there's nothing else available
Icardi would be better but I guess would cost 20m more

Well Lacazette is good on FIFA so I am excited I suppose. Can't be worse than Giroud.

If Verratti moves anywhere it will be home to daddy Carletto. In a couple of years.

decent signing, must be getting on now but still probably has a couple good seasons in him, might get him in on FPL if he's 5.0

Chamakh was never ever a top 3 striker in Ligue 1. His best season was 2008-2009 when he had 13 goals... which ranked him 6th. Gignac, Benzema, Bastos, Hoarau and Jelen all scored more than him. He was only hyped because he was on the Bordeaux team that won the league and he scored 5 goals in CL the following year (was crap in league with only 10 goals).
He was 24 years old and could be had on a free transfer. Wenger liked the free part as Arsenal were broke back then. Already had Van Persie anyhow and he was going to be the starting CF (moved him there the same year Chamakh joined). But Van Persie got injured early and Chamakh played more than was originally anticipated. Started really well too... but then became crap once Van Persie returned.

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Nah Chamakh was definitely better than Jelen and Hoarau. Think you are mistaking Bastos with Lisandro López.
Gignac, Benzema, Chamakh and Lopez were easily the best strikers in ligue 1 that season. Chamakh wasn't only good in the league but also in the CL. We only signed him on a free because he refused to sign an extension. Many other clubs were after him iirc
Although I actually don't have a problem with Chamakh. He was pretty good for us when we integrated him in the team properly. Just didn't work out for him later on.

Chamakh destroyed us twice in CL 2009/10. And all with that terrible haircut

According to kicker, both Chelsea's Baba and Sevilla's Coke will have medicals at Schalke tomorrow.
The new Schalke might be worth monitoring. They now have a great DoF and a a great coach to go with it.
We might have to worry about them at some point

Why isn't Conte using Baba in his wingback system? baba would revel in that role.
Should have never gone to Chelsea

No idea. But Weinzierl was of course Baba's coach at Augsburg, so he'll know how to get the best out of him.

Chelsea have had a lot of talented defenders the last few seasons that they just refuse to use in favor of starting the likes of Ivanovic

Re: 2016/17 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Juventus ask for Matuidi...
Reports suggest Juventus have made enquiries about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
The Bianconeri are on the verge of selling Paul Pogba to Manchester United for a world record fee, with the Turin club expected to get €110m, plus another €10m in bonuses.
According to calciomercato.com, the Old Lady are considering PSG man Matuidi as a replacement for his fellow French international.
Relations between the two clubs are frosty, not least because of Kingsley Coman’s free transfer to Juve.
However, Pogba and Matuidi share an agent, Mino Raiola, and he could be key in opening up negotiations.
If the Pogba deal goes through as expected, it will be beneficial for Juventus and Raiola, with the agent set to be paid around €20m by United.
Raiola could therefore look to cement his relationship with the Bianconeri by helping them to secure another of his clients.
It’s thought the Italian champions’ first offer will be €30m plus bonuses, but the Parisian side want at least €40m.
While that is within the Old Lady’s budget, general manager Giuseppe Marotta would be hesitant about spending such a fee on a midfielder who is almost 30.
A Juventus intermediary has already met with PSG, and also enquired about the availability of Marco Verratti.
Juve would have been willing to put serious money on the table for the playmaker they missed out on in 2012, but have been told in no uncertain terms that he’s not for sale.
In addition, Verratti himself has made it clear he has absolutely no intention of leaving Paris this summer.

Fekir is coming home to his daddy Kloppo in 2017. Would have come this summer but he needs to prove himself again after the injury.
