Wall is a better playmaker, better leader, better at controlling the pace of the game, rebounder, more athletic and is leagues better defensively ( he's an Elite defender at the PG position)

The only thing IT is better is scoring, IT is having a great season but we need to be realistic here.

Better playmaker? Yeah, but IT is not really a slouch there either. He's still managing 6.4 apg on a team where he's the primary scoring threat and that's his main job. Better leader? Debatable. A bold claim especially when you look at the fact that Thomas has been the most clutch fourth quarter player of this year and certainly that we've seen in some time. Honestly, I don't follow the dressing rooms of each player so it's hard for me to know, but from the outside looking in I would say that IT is actually the superior leader based on clutch factor in the fourth.

As for rebounder, athletic and better defender, yeah that's what you're going to get with any PG compared to IT. Certainly, those are fair points. With IT what you get is a top 5 efficient player (#3 right now), with a higher true shooting, PER, a legitimate threat on the drive, from 3pt, and now has developed a midrange pull up game. Meanwhile isn't he averaging 30ppg or damn near?

In the end, it depends on what your team needs. I'll admit that for some teams, Wall is a better fit. For others, it's IT. For me, I take Thomas. Not to downplay what Wall is doing, but Thomas is, if not for Harden/Westbrook, having an MVP season.

Regular season means very little.

Wall can win you games in the playoffs especially later rounds.

IT will not win you anything. His defense will become a huge liability after that. It was very prominent last year in playoffs and even this season he's on the bottom of literally all advanced defensive stats.

Celtics will bite off your arm if you offered a straight swap between Wall and IT.

IT is just pure offense. If that's what you want than he's not even better than Kyrie tbh. He only averages more points because he doesn't have LeBron and Love taking points away from him.
