No doubt, he cant play the deep role like Modric can anyway and Sneijder would just get in Rooney's way with both wanting to play AM and dropping deep to collect the ball and all.
Modric is much much better for United even if you dont factor in the wages he just fits United better.

Sneijder was a one season wonder (at the world beater level) under Mourinho. I dont think we will see that Wesley Sneijder any time soon.

Sneijder have always been great.
This season he was just injured but he did pull of a man of the match against palermo in the cup final for inter.
Not to mention he got snubbed for Ballon d´or 2010 for helping Netherlands to the final (he actually sent robben through 1on1 with casillas one or two times) and his contribution for inter winning their treble.

He can piss right off if he is looking for those kinda wages.
I prefer Modric over him any day of the week. I won't complain if he comes to us of course, but Modric is the player I would pick if I had to choose between the two.

He can jog it on tbh, we don't need him, we need people that will work for us as well, plus he is a bit of a suspect glass man.

To put that figure into perspective:
RVP takes 80k per week
Fabregas takes 110k per week
So, you're going to get one injury-prone midfielder who might not necessarily fit into the premier league for the more wages than two World Class players. Sneijder is a great player, but very few players are worth 200k per week and he isn't one of them.
