It's weird to look Milan manager to get the best possible chance on mercato but it is.

At this point I don't think it matters who is assigned manager. Still have a long way off until they are competing.

Montella is a safe choice. He has a better CV than any of the coaches they hired post Ancelotti.

4 losses in a row and a draw before that. Same form as last place Pescara. One of the most overrated managers in the last decade IMO.

Have you looked at their players ? The fact that they beat us and were top 3 for a while was nothing short of a miracle imo.

Sacking Montella would be the most stupid desicion Milan has made since paying money and Cassano to sign Pazzini.

It would be a big mistake by Milan to sack him but because it is Milan and it would be a mistake, I can see it happening.

In all seriousness, their squad is atrocious, it is below Torino in terms of talent (let that sink in). They have about 3-4 good players (Bona, Gigi, Romagnoli +1 more on a good day). They need a massive squad overhaul and they've kind of done this to themselves. They had an amazing team about 10 years ago and really rode that group into the sunset. Were talking about a midfield of Gattuso, Ambrosini, Seedorf and Pirlo who all played well into their 30s with Milan. While there is nothing wrong with this, they never had those players behind them that were going to make any sort of impact. To spare the details, the rest of the squad has seen a similar fate. A few promising young players is not enough to mask the overall lack of talent in the team.

when do the new owners actually takeover? this summer? looking at their squad, I feel like they're going to need to spend like 200+ million, they need like 15+ legit players

Since when Milan has dem high standards? Top ten and the guy has overachieved imo.

Worse than Torino ? Seriously ? Torino have just Belotti as upgrade ( great upgrade on CF role, yes) but for the rest Milan are better team imo

For me Ljajic is incredibly overrated, the best player in the world when it is November but then there are 11 months, and besides, sorry for him , but November has just 30 days, not even 31
I thought he was legit for Torino, but he is incredibly inconsistent even there. Fraud imo. Similar level with those.
Kucka is better than Aqua ffs
Barreca is the future probably, but I feel if you give Antonelli (the best Milan fullback ) to Torino he makes same things
Benassi is good, but he is a highlights player , that is the reason why many overrate Torino . It's a good squad for Torino level , but I feel if you give the same team to Milan , Milan fans would be not glad of it.
At the end Milan has more difference makers, that is the reason why they are above at table than them.
Rather, I ' d wonder if Atalanta are better than Milan looking at the table
