How would he not be able to get the ball on that wing when the ball was played to the right side literally all game. That side was wide open because messi decided it was a good time to play a double pivot with busquets

What does it matter if the ball is tried to play towards you all the game, if team cannot provide it to you in space? They cannot control the build up enough to provide space.

Look at Fakenaldo, does feck all whole game, then is provided couple chances from the scratch and he steals all the glory.

should have been a red, definitely. i've always thought people have tended to overrate him over the years, but he was definitely not at fault for this loss. not in this leg nor in the first, he played better than many of his cohorts. busquets especially; someone who is supposed to be the defensive linchpin, but only "defends" when his team has the ball or does some random thing like point to a spot on the pitch, and people hail his "football mind". there were worse players out there than iniesta over both legs
