How much banter would an Italy vs. Belgium final bring?

It would mean Belgium would be euro champions, and it would mean it really was a poor tournament.
just watching back Spain italy. The Italy hype is ridiculous imo, they are a mediocre team and we will have no problems with them.
Spain is a team completely over it and it's no feat to beat them.

So " shit " means something of exciting in German language ?
Good to know, I will remind to say it to the first hot German girl met this summer!.
then let you know the response, but I trust in you

Yes of course, I don't think that this will be the final for the record. It's just funny that it could potentially happen due to the bracket and after the first meeting between the two and Wilmots' stupid words, it's kind of funny to think about.
Anyways, I can't remember Italy ever beating the superior Germans, so I don't expect anything different. Especially with how Germany dismantled that powerhouse Slovakia, now that's a performance for the ages.

Well I've changed my mind. My first thought was 'shit', but now my second thought is that I have to use the time until the game is played to spout all kinds of insulting stuff about Italy, get it all out, since I'll have to shut up anyway if we lose. So now's the time really.
Now's also the time to end this ridiculous losing streak against Italy.
Poorest Italy team since the invention of inflatable rubber bladder balls, surely.
Basically they all overcompensate their lack of body height with an extra dose of unskilled labour. Giaccherini, Eder, Pelle

Robes, in reality every German fan knows that we will lose against Italy. It's Italy. We don't win against Italy. We never win against Italy, and we never truly expect to win against Italy.
Until now. This time we'll beat you comprehensively, 2-1, because really you're just not that great.

It depends on last friendly match (4-1 ) too , because we shared an event ( Germany to beat Italy, Germany to beat Italy .. Not been so upset since I've seen a Kimi Raikkonen 's smile ) and when you seen an event, you always think it can happen again.
I don't expect to win , 60% Germany 40 % Italy for me. But I didn't exepct even in 2012 ( while '06 was different) ...

06 we were underdogs really, even if at home. On paper at least; Italy full of world class players, German full of mediocre players coached by a clown. Of course Italy had had started the tournament poorly, while we gathered confidence, especially with the improbable win against a wonderful, highly accomplished and far superior Argentine.
2012 we should have won. Löw lost us the game.

And he really brought his idiocy-A-game to that match. Reus on the bench. Müller on the wing, man-marking Pirlo, huge holes in our formation everywhere. It's the source of 90% of my Löw hatred.

I was much more scared in 2012. Now at least I know that we will do everything possible to win and that the team will be set up optimally, if we lose it will probably be fair game and we would have reached our ceiling in this comp.
That said, we'll win (if De Rossi is fit)

i thought that 06 germany team was fantastic, a lot of youngsters coming up and some good older players. a very entertaining team too. nothing mediocre about them. the euro 04 team was way worse, terrible side. the world cup 02 team, went further, but wasn't better imo. that game against italy in 06 could have gone either way. once italy scored first the team got depressed. oh and the side that went to euro 00 extremely forgettable squad

Wilmots was spot on. Italy were scared shitless against Belgium & parked the bus while they pressed Spain for 90 minutes. They'll get exposed against the Germans.

Yes, you're right about the '04 and '02 teams being in large parts poor as well, with a player like Kuranyi leading the line in 04
But in '06 too, let's not forget we had players like Hitzlsberger, Kehl, Asamoah, Borowski, even Mike Hanke in the squad.
The player pool was much worse in the decade after the last geriatric remains of the GOAT '90 generation had finally gone, and it's no secret and no coincidence that Sammer's youth development work at the DFB, starting 2006, made a huge impact.
So the current, strong NT is in large parts a product of that improved youth work
It is basically the 2009 U21 Euro winning team (Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Khedira, Özil), paired with the Bayern post 2008 (van Gaal and Jupp) spine and 4-2-3-1 system, and a sprinkle of Kloppmund (Reus + Gündogan), the latter of which never makes it to tournaments due to injuries though.
