How should Italy play? Empty How should Italy play?

Post by juventus101 Mon Nov 21, 2011 1:22 am

How should Italy play, if they had everyone available and fully healthy?

I think they should play like this:

--Buffon--
--Maggio-- --Cannavaro-- --Chiellini-- --Balzaretti--
--Marchisio-- --De Rossi-- --Pirlo--
--Rossi--
--Balotelli-- --Matri--

Rossi played as trequartista in the Confed Cup a few years ago and had a big impact. So he can play in that position. And even if he couldnt, id play Gio or Miccoli over Cassano.

What the hell are you talking about? Lippi never used a 4-3-1-2. Rossi was never a Trequartista in the Confed. Cup. Pirlo was... Pirlo was TQ also against Bulgaria in the trequartista role. Now that being said, Rossi can't play in the Trequartista role, he does not have the playmaking ability to do so. He is a Seconda Punta, plain and simple. Or a modern Centre forward striker of today. Miccoli will never get called up.

The best option would be Giovinco.

Dw bout the line up just make sure pirlo and balotelli start, with the game plan being pass the ball to pirlo so he can pass it balotelli so balo can score loll

I dont know what formation wss played exactly, but I clearly remember Rossi on the field with two other strikers and Rossi dropping deeper than the two, through the center, and ended up scoring a screamer. Forget which game it was exactly, but he wss clearly used a a trequartista, or a second striker dropped deep.

Thiago Motta would never, ever start ahead of Daniele De Rossi or even Alberto Aquilani or Ricardo Montolivo. :coffee:

Buffon

Marchisio-De Rossi-Pirlo

Isnt it obvious?

Buffon
Maggio-Chiellini-Ranocchia-Criscito
Pirlo-De Rossi-Marchisio
AM
Rossi-Pazzini

Thats standard Italy's line up, most balanced. Only question who will take AM role. Either Cassano, or Monto, or Giovinco, or move Rossi there

Maggio bombards from right flang, Criscito defensive on his.

Pirlo trequartista aka brain

Marchisio runs on left flang

Rossi and AM supply best target man in Italy

Criscito isn't exactly defensive, he is more defensive than Maggio but he gets forward
and did you mean Pirlo regista, not trequartista?
