The new system is based upon your overall Match Rating to really focus on teamwork and co-operation, authentically re-creating real world football where teamwork is the most important aspect.

After you have completed a match you'll receive a Match Rating out of 10. Depending upon which position you play, certain aspects of your Player will level up at different speeds, for example, a striker will grow Shooting more quickly than Defending.

Basically playing in midfield while pretending to be a striker isn't going to work anymore

As long as they really have revamped the ratings system it's good.

Make like 8 interceptions and 7 tackles in a game which is like 300% more than usual and you still get like a 7.5 as a CM whereas a pleb up front can shoot on target (missing the goal is pretty hard to do on FIFA) 6 times from 30 yards out, not even come close to scoring do zilch and get an 8.

Or when you're a CB and do everything well but barely scrape a 7, as opposed to letting 3 goals past you getting a yellow card but scoring a header and getting MOTM

They need to fix the passing and crossing before all the other 'improvements' they spew.

Worst thing on fifa 16 is probably GKs not guarding their near post, near post is so OP


Seen a goal earlier where a guy scoop shot turned standing at the near post right in to the near post corner in what was an almost impossible angle and it went in because all keepers stand too far away from the post.

Always happens, you defend really well and show an off balanced 60 finishing player out wide only for them to just smash it in to the near post. Happens more in 5 fifa games than it does in a real life EPL season

I also hate how the LM and RM defend ffs. Ronaldo doesn't have the defensive workrate of Willian why is he playing as a second LB

Same reason why 99% of the teams play the same way

Yeah unless you manually drag a lazy players ass back he should be caught out.


There's no downside to playing very attack minded wingers or CMs because they'll do their job regardless. You can legit play Ronaldo - Bale as wing backs in a 3-whatever.

The fact you can get away with playing DMs at CB and wingers at fullbacks should tell you everything lol

It's been the same since fifa10 and probably won't change.

Another issue they need to fix is their DM positioning. Why is Alonso playing as a prima punta ffs. They make less attacking runs if you alter custom tactics and put shooting and chance creation below 30, but then that ruins your attack and makes you predictable.
