Re: FIFA 17
I see a few people online saying man FIFA sucks this year, PES could capitalize on it. PES was 1000% better last year, not played this year so IDK. But yeah, FIFA has a stranglehold, UT is a phenomenon.
anyway can't wait for MAFIA, I find this FIFA really boring tbh. Not sure if that's just me being tired of football games after pissing me life away on them for a century or if it's genuinely boring. It's not a bad game at all..just meh. Seen a lot of people saying it feels really boring online too. It's more realistic but it's not that satisfying to play IMO.
On the plus side, played a drop in on pro clubs last night, only saw 6 people with the name Ronaldo out of 22

Re: FIFA 17
PES is much better than it was last year lol, it doesn't change a thing though really. At the end of the day they'll need millions of people to actually give it a chance and that won't happen IMO.
The same people who say FIFA sucks will be standing in line next year to buy it day 1 all over again.

The new PES is, without a doubt, way better than FIFA 17

Everybody is just bored of football games, easily the best clubs and co op seasons experience on FIFA ever this year. If you want to chill and play against AI then PES is the logical choice. If you want some sexy online stuff it's always gonna be FIFA.

Aye i'm bored of football games myself, dunno why i continue to buy them if i'm honest.
Even when they are genuinely good they just don't hold my interest like single player games do and good shooters for multiplayer.

Re: FIFA 17
I should take a moment to learn all the ins and outs for the set pieces before calling them crap but I'm just gonna call them crap, need to go back to how they were IMO. I score corners far too easy. Been smashing the CPU on World Class lately. Penalties are aight. But there wasn't a need to change them IMO. Felt like EA just changed them so it looked like they've changed a lot and didn't have any other innovative ideas.

Re: FIFA 17
I'd agree with that, change just so they can justify bringing out a new game lol
Having said that corners last year were beyond shit as were crosses in general. You'd sometimes legit go like 100 without scoring because of keepers ghosting through your players heads or the header its self being awful

Re: FIFA 17
I thought crossing is fine in 16, but corners are useless indeed when played direct.
Last week I was sure I didn't want to buy 17. Then I played a dozen games of the 16 in the weekend and now I find myself considering buying the 17. Must. Resist.

I remember you saying that you prefer a more slow-paced game, and FIFA 17 is slightly slower than FIFA 16. In fact, it's most likely the most slow-paced FIFA game to date. You might like it.
My main frustrations with FIFA 17 right now, are the occasional, unbelievably poor first touches when receiving passes, the occasional high ball that automatically bounces off the back of the receiving player as if you made no effort to gain possession of it, and the fact that most of the issues from 5-6 years back still remain. And yes, you can still get penalties from barging into a defender who's standing still.

Re: FIFA 17
I'm with Thimmy in part...I haven't played enough of 17 to really judge fairly yet but from what I have played so far, it's quite slow. I don't mind it being slower than the other FIFA's at all, but what I do mind is that at times it's slow because the players will take forever to turn 180 degrees or something like that.
The slow paced nature doesn't bother me, but at times it just seems somewhat clunky compared to different FIFA's. In some ways, that's an improvement. People aren't meant to get the ball and spin in half a second past a defender, but in others it just doesn't feel right.

Exactly. I believe I already mentioned the turning around part in this thread

I suppose braindead, arcade shooters like Call of Duty were designed for people like me. Console games in general seem to be more slow paced, these days. I can't remember the last time I played a game that challenged my reaction time and hand to eye coordination. Must've been an older CoD game

Re: FIFA 17
I'm enjoying it quite a lot atm. Just qualified for the sweaty weekend ultimate team champions league. 40 games in 48 hours need to be played ffs. My defending could be better and I think that ping pong passing is too easy and OP this year but it's a fun game. Only played UT though and it's probably different from regular gameplay.

You can play 40 games in 13 hours. So I suppose 20 games a day would do. or 15 in 3 days

Re: FIFA 17
gonna try that but it's really stressfull, disgusting tactics against the best players in the game, I left it too late to qualify the weekend just gone but everyone was saying how it aged them 10 years
tbh I'll try to get 30 games played minimum tbh, you get different tiers depending on how many wins you get
I'm pretty good this year so I'm hoping for 20-25 wins min

Re: FIFA 17
Clubs is still legit this year, if I could be assed i'd upload some sexy goals and plays. Much easier to put together solid passing moves this year
Oh and being a CB is ace again, with pace boosters and your natural stats after you get your pro up a bit he's a beast.
My lad at 6'4 has 85 pace 94 stength and 90 rated ovr

Been playing CB/DM/B2B mid lol
I play B2B running about like a madman but still get goals and assists. When I play up front everything goes to shit in midfield sadly.
