Another year of LvG, then Pinocchioni joins?
(Can't imagine him leaving Spurs already this summer)
How about that for an idea?
How much damage can one more LvG season do?
In terms of long term damage, another season of LVG wouldn't do much in my eyes. United have enviable resources and plenty of talent throughout the squad, even if there is arguably a lack of balance and will secure some sort of European football at the very least for next season.
They could certainly weather another year like this one but continuing under Van Gaal recognises the risk of postponing a Champions League return until 2018. It is conceivable that the club may take a calculated risk if they believe that no manager they might attract this summer could bring the same reward as waiting another season, but has Pocch really attained to such a status that they would mortgage their European dreams in order to secure him? He's undoubtedly had an impressive tenure in England, not only with Spurs but at Southampton however there are surely comparable alternatives to be found, if one looks hard enough.
This being said, I hope he stays.

I havent watched United a lot this season, but every time I've seen them they make my eyes bleed. Seeing Mata on the wing and Rooney in midfield is disgusting.
I had great respect for Van Gaal but after I saw him play Di Maria as a CF and Rooney as CM i lost it all.
A great club like United don't deserve this Moron. I hope they get Pocchetino.
