PEPE VS Chiellini

two highly rated cbs who are strong, fast and committed to the cause playing for two big clubs in two of the best leagues .. also regulars for their nt s ... so who is better according to you

pepe for me .. his performances when not injured, or suspended are very good and he has amazing physical attributes

Pepe is a beast who can trouble any player. While I haven't seen much of Chiellini, I rate Pepe as a top 3 defender.

Chiellini is a great defender. He is a top 5 IMO.

Stopped Torres and Villa vs Spain in Euro 2008.

Also kept Ibrahimovic quiet during Ibra's many encounters vs Juve.

Not to mention being partnered with 3 very incompetent players most of the time (excluding last season). Chiellini would cover for many of his partners' mistakes.

He's also got quite a head on his shoulders, he won us many valuable points over the years with his goals.

You must have an inferiority complex if you have to post this in an attempt to sway the vote to Pepe who is not better than Giorgione.

Cheillini would start for Real and Pepe-Gheilini is a mean combo

imo pepe is better, ivse seen more of him of course and i love him, but its personal peference, no hate intended nor wished for

pepe is fast lethal defender which could be better if he had better balance and decision making.

pepe ramos will hopefull be our cb selection, or maybe we sign carvalho for another year and by 2014 its

ramos varane pepe marcelo/coentrao

or coentrao ramos pepe marcelo

i tihnk chiellini would be starting with pepe, but buffon and krasic would be on the bench. i have my doubts about krasic i mean he would play as much as cajellon will play this season

Why do people like the OP feel the need to make polls which are unfairly weighted ? What is that trying to show ? That you have to reassure yourself that your player is better than someone else's ? Inferiority complex.

I always felt Chiellini is better than Pepe as Pepe is often prone to mistakes.He has reduced them last season but still think he can be very irrational at times.Cheillini is simply awesome everytime i saw him.

I do not get what you are saying ... I watch old videos of Buffon but even currently Casillas never has the skill that Buffon has.

And well your last comment is really easy to make a fool out of me but I will say Juventus are close because Juventus had the best record amongst the top seven teams but Juventus just did poorly against the smaller clubs which is a shame.

Do you even know what the inferiority complex comment was targeted toward ? Perhaps you should figure it out.

It is a valid question but when you title it "PEPE v. Chiellini" and have an option as "Chiellini is far superior than Pepe (lol)," it is clearly a non-sensical poll aimed to stir the pot and cause unnecessary debate which is not really debate at all.

oh comon man, buffon was out for so long, as of right now casillas is better, if buffon can regain his form then you can make a case

If i had to pick one for my team i'd gladly take Chiellini who is better. Pepe's speed is an extra bonus, but his recklessness and ill dissapline make him less of a defender than Chiellini is.
