pepe vs chiellini
Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
If i had to pick one for my team i'd gladly take Chiellini who is better. Pepe's speed is an extra bonus, but his recklessness and ill dissapline make him less of a defender than Chiellini is.

Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
rofl at Buffon better than Casillas atm. Buffon is a great GK but he isn't even better than Valdes in the present

Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
PEPE is the best one on one defender in the world atm,i have seen him destroying messi countless one on one's(could you name another defender who can keep up with messi in one on one?) and made messixaviiniesta his bitch in whole clasico series,s he played.Hech even he was the best player for madrid in the 5-0 vs barcelona.
The thing that i love about pepe is he is one of the most underrated players in the world, and i love him being this much underrated.
I would say pepe is better because,he can play many position. He is technicaly better, physicaly better, tactically on par with chiellini.Again dont under estimate experience when talking about CB position.

Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
But the thing is Adit Pepe didn't play Cb for the majority of the classico's he played Dm where he made his best performances of the season, yet still evidence of his reckless nature saw him get red, although the decision was ridiculous i'm of the opinion that over the course of the classico's he did deserve a red in one of the games.
I rate his strenghts as you do , but in relation to Chiellini, Pepe is only much faster in his legs, but Chiellini is much more wiser and quicker of thought than Pepe.

Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
Tactical part is debatable ,yes.Pepe is more reckless than chiellini but i think he make up for that with his much better physicality and one on one ability.
Then again even if one is better than the other there will not be a big difference between these two.

Re: PEPE VS Chiellini
Agreed i suggested that i'd have Chielini based on my personal preference. Pepe is indeed a great player to have, physically uncomprimising and also quite intimidating to face down.
Its either way because they are both different in the way they defend but both inspire their team greatly.

La Liga is a two-horse race ...
@BeautifulGame: no response but as long as you know now.
with all fairness in most top leagues you know that the title is going to decided between 2 teams
and like i said the wc is not a two horsed race

Buffon > Casillas by a country mile.
you should stop watching video archives from your club dating from 5 years ago, focus on the present, lol.
He is still better. Casillas consistently succumbs to goalkeeping howlers on top of getting few shots on net in a less competitive league.
oh comon man, buffon was out for so long, as of right now casillas is better, if buffon can regain his form then you can make a case
and lol about the less competitive league(and does this include his performance in the wc?)
Sadly, I'll have to agree with that part in red. Buffon's been out for so long, so at the moment Casillas is better. But overall, we know who's better (sorry, I had to add that )...

But not one of their players would make the bench of R.M. Let alone the starting 11.
Chiellini would bench one of your CBs. And you are saying that Del Piero, Bonnuci, Marchisio, Buffon wouldn't make the bench consisting of Adebayor, Albiol, Gago and Dudek?

If you're talking about the first 11, then I agree to an extent, I think only Chiellini can get a starting spot (ahead of Carvalho, in his case).
For the bench, I think you're exaggerating tbh. Krasic, Matri, Bonucci, Marchisio...etc.? They can make it imo.

We surely wouldn't have agreed for Real/Barca monopoly in TV deals for starters

If u dont have that absurd TV money monopoly u will be playing with the same playing field and ur squad will be way different and inferior to the current one.

So, Madrid and Barca have the teams they have now because of T.V. money?
Brilliant.

So, T.V. money is how Madrid bought their players? Hmmm? We must also be using this money to pay the wages, upgrade the bernabeu, open more centres worldwide and discover the cure for AIDS.
T.V. Money. A world of possobilties await you.

Of course, There would be no Real madrid if it wasn't for T.V. Money. 140m is the reason for the clubs exsistance. Real madrid depend on that T.V. Money for everything they do.
I cringe every time I hear talk that Madrid could lose some of that T.V. Money. How would we ever make money without it?
