How many years until Manchester United win the Premier League?

I know, three's a crowd, but there's a case for this thread. Man United's longest gap without the championship in the Premier League era (since 1992) is just three years: they didn't win it in '04, '05, '06. They are now equaling that gap as their previous title is three years old, from 2013. They don't look exactly the favorites to win it next year. Their squad needs some serious revamping, has needed for a while, but their efforts have been mostly disappointing. Yet by revenue they are quite clearly ahead of the pack, so the potential is there to build a great squad. But how many years it will take before they'll be the champions of England again?

If LVG stays then in 2-3 years. If anyone else then probably 5+

With Mourinho, 1-2 years tops. Say what you want about him, he always gets a league title in his first 2 years.

Seriously though, we have as good a chance as any of the usual contenders City/Arsenal/Chelsea + Spurs now, IMO, next season. I don't care if Pep this, Pep that. That City squad needs a MAJOR overhaul, nobody else is that far ahead of us currently as average as we are by our standards. I know you could say this every season but this summer is going to be huge. All the teams need to strengthen. If we keep LVG then RIP.

Don't agree, they just need a mental refresh. People have been pointing out at these so called flaws for years but they continue to challenge anyway.

I mean they are in within a chance of the CL final lol.

I expect Klopp to win the title next year. Mourinho the year after liverpool's triumph.

The problem is the squad he brings more than him

I really don't think they'll win it with Mou. He is comfortably the biggest fraud in football with a one-dimensional style that gets found out within a couple of years after which he needs to change nation and not return to it before a decade to not be exposed for his coaching ineptitude.

If Mounited will actually happen with only months after his failure this year they'll receive a worse beating than when I tried kendo for the first time.

Considering no english top team is eben a bit impressive atm, it's hard to tell.
I think United have a very good chance actually. I kinda like a lot about their squad so if they get the right 3-4 players and a good coach in, they could easily do it next season.

Mourinho is by no means a fraud... he's just an arse.  His motivation techniques go completely stale after 2 years and falls apart in year 3.  BUT, he's almost guaranteed to win a league and maybe a CL in those 2 years.  Done it everywhere he's been.

Unfortunately I do see the current United squad suiting Mourinho pretty well.

But still I'm actually kinda hoping they'll hire Mourinho

Age is just a number for players like Zlatan. He has at least 3 more years of top flight footy left in him. At 34 he is leading the Ligue 1 goal charts by a mile.
And even if he cant replicate that sort of form for us, just his presence will benefit kids like Martial and Rashford. The guys' attitude and charisma is something we desperately need right now. Rooney is a terrible example to follow for young players and his captaincy is shite. With Ibra in the team, its going to be different and our players will stop being pussies.
Added with that Jose with whom he is BFF, will be able to get the best out of him even if it is as a squad player.

BTW we are not going to pay crazy amount for him(if we sign him that is). We are gonna sign him for free. Of course his wages will be gargantuan. But we are a club that paid 300 k for Fallcao. So its okay. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

PS Dont like the idea of having both Zlatan and Rooney in the 11 though. Either Rooney will have to permanently become a midfielder or he will have to go. If he is a CF under Mourinho, then we shouldnt sign Ibra.

I think it depends more on Pep at Man C as well, they will surely invest big again and have the best squad.

Mou would really up Man U's level though.

Then also how Chelsea rebuilds and Klopp does with Liverpool.

Spurs look like they will also keep strengthening.

Hard to say, but I certainly hope they go on years without winning it again
