yep.
Now let's hope that somewhere down the road, danyjr and Barça fans won't be the ones defending Dembele from hans.

Not even going to start getting into any of this as anyway we're going to end up with Cengiz Ünder or Lucas Vazquez the way this is going

Very low IQ, most braincells killed by Fortnite nights with nachos but lack of tactics doesnt help. Either way....

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Didn't watch the match (no Messi, so pointless) but judging from the highlights this was actually one of his better performances.
Still full of errors and showed zero intensity. If only I was the Barcelona chairman and Hans was the Bayern president...

To be fair to Hans, he's an expert in discovering players with great strengths, but even greater flaws. I dream of Hans being Barcelona's chairman or DoF. Pogba would never frustrate me again with his nonchalant, team demoralizing attitude.

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
I think Dembélé can be a valuable player if he plays in a system where everything is dictated to him i.e. under someone like Guardiola. His IQ and intensity is just poor to play his own game.
Re: Ousmane Dembélé
Dembele has poor IQ? who would have thought
imagine spending 150 mil on a player with this little football IQ, all street abilities

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
He's still raw and more than a coach he needs a teacher to help him put his game together.
That's something that Valverde isn't. Fact is he hasn't improved a single player during his time at Barca.
Under the right guidance, Ousmane will take off no doubt about it. He was absolutely awful yesterday though, legit one of the worst attacking performances I've ever seen. Very Di-Maria esque.

I'm a not big fan of Di Maria, but using him as the standard for awful attacking performances is a bit harsh.

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
On the contrary.
Dembélé is an example of a hyper-talented, hyperintelligent kid who gets easily bored and distracted as he constantly realizes noone can keep up with him.

Lol it was a textbook Di Maria-like hall of shame performance. They had the personality to try to do something but nothing was coming off.
Lots of brain dead decisions and failure to do the simple moves.

I like the Di Maria comparison. Another player with outstanding technical ability, dribbling ability, speed and athleticism but who too often makes the wrong decisions due to a low football IQ.
I expect Dembele to have a Di Maria esque career tbh. Perhaps better if he gets a manager who can improve his game

Re: Ousmane Dembélé
bro this is your dembele in a nutshell
- 6th injury in 2 years,
- doesnt speak spanish
- gets late to training
- stays up late playing video games or partying
- fired the cook the club hired to manage his diet
140 millions down to toilet, lad is not professional and he is not even playing great lol. sell him
edit: this gets better. According to Marca, Dembele ended last friday game in San Mames with pains, so barca's medical staff asked him to come in on saturday for some tests. Dembele didn't show up; the club tried to reach him for two days and he was awol. He showed up on monday with an injury
edit 2: this gets even better. According to Chiringuito, Dembele slept in barca's airport waiting for his brother because his plane was late. his brother was supposed to arrive at 10pm and got delayed until 3am.

I can't even keep up with his injury record.
As for Di Maria. His peak was short-lived, but I really think the majority on here are undermining how good he was when he was at his best. Low IQ aside, he was productive. I can't say the same thing about Dembele. For someone who's supposedly a technical marvel, Dembele's dribbling for Barcelona has very rarely looked impressive to me.

Di Maria has also had a long career and is 31 years old. Dembele is 22 years old.
At 22, Di Maria was just now arriving at Real Madrid having played in the Portuguese league for the last 3 years.
A lot can happen for Ousmane Dembele, it's up to him not to squander it. I doubt he has the kind of work ethic Di Maria had, but I think it's pretty unfair to compare the two in terms of their success at this moment when Dembele has so much ahead of him. I do think it's fair to compare their style as I have done.
With all of that being said, you can find a lot of really impressive dribbles he's had with Barcelona on youtube, not hard to find. They do often lack end product though, that's fair enough (although not entirely different from many of Di Maria's runs until he matured more). He scored one of the goals of the CL last season against Tottenham, for example.
