Re: Who is Bayern's best player?
Handanovic screws up some but to be fair Inter hasn't been particularly tight for a while. He gets exposed a lot but still bails them out.
Buffon has been a beast though. Unreal that he can still be at the top.
Lloris I dont watch. Schmeichel is a good call too.

The thing is, for every chance Müller squanders because of a poor first touch, or some other shortcomings of his technique, he gets like 7 chances no other player would've thought of even having, because his runs and his timing are that brilliant.

Re: Who is Bayern's best player?
Imo Ribery and Robben were the main reason for Bayern returning to the top but you can't choose Ribery for obvious reasons and I don't think I'd choose Robben for the last year either. Clearly he wasn't their best player in 15-16 so far. It's really close and I'd say between Müller and Lewandowski.
Lahm, Alaba, Neuer are defensive players so they can't be chosen by default.

What does that mean? how can players be disqualified for being defensive?
No doubt that our best player is Buffon.

Re: Who is Bayern's best player?
Oh it's just because attackers are better and more important than defensive players (:
of course not everyone but it's like: 10/10 attacker > 10/10 defender (:

Re: Who is Bayern's best player?
Very debatable though could go either way.
In the end, the team that concedes less is the one that doesn't lose. Most teams are not so dominant as to protect their goal by the effectiveness of their attack (like Barca does). Usually, being secure at the back allows the team to attack with confidence and momentum. Without that, or stopping the other team's play, its hard to create your own game.
Top defenders are hard to come by and almost impossible to replace. Top attackers are more common. (excluding Messi-like players in history).
I see your point but "not being chosen by default" is too harsh.

Re: Who is Bayern's best player?
I wasn't all that serious, especially with the first post but in the end I think it's probably even true as an offensive player might have a bigger influence on the game and if I had a team full of players who are on the same scale (like a team full of 5/10 players or a team full of 7/10 players) upgrading an attacking player would have the biggest impact.
Of course a defensive player could still be a teams best player as it is the case in my own team (Veltman) and it's completely ignorant because there are players who are both defensive and offensive

Yeah he's still the best player they have. Shame he's never fit but the difference to plebs like Müller is HUGE.
