Jesus, as many blunders Pique tends to make here and there, he is actually not as bad as people make him out to be. So missing him there's a huge drop in our defense. I would say start Verm and Masch. Wouldn't trust Bartra as he hasn't been getting enough playing time and Mathieu has been absolute crap this season. All in all I hope we can keep this game scrappy in the midfield so our defense doesn't get exposed.

pique will be missed certainly but the bigger issue is messi and neymar.

Pique will be a huge miss. He has been great this season and the last and very reliable.
I would actually start Mathieu. I know he has had some doubtful performances but I think he is a safer bet than Verm who has had very less playing time.
If Pique is even 70%, I would risk him.

Should have played Bartra way more in this season. Of the many good things LE has done, his Bartra treatment isn't one of them.

They're going to play real rough, especially at the start because they need that goal. Whoever is playing instead of Pique is going to be shell-shocked.

Anyway, I never want to see Alba don a Barca shirt again. I've never seen such a shockingly bad player play for Barca. His clearance, one of the worst I've ever seen and a blueprint for what you teach U-10 kids NOT to do leads directly to the goal. His side was targeted all night long and he couldn't deal with it. That was with Neymar helping defensively much more than Messi was too (when Messi was on the right).
