Great job guest. I was going to make my own list but it's very similar to yours. Only difference that came to me was Del Piero for Juve and Meazza for Inter (for me Fachetti over Zanetti also).

the thing with these all time rankings. some are a lock in...obviously di stefano, messi, for their respective clubs...but then some make me wonder, is it best player, revolutionary, longest servant, or who has won the most? and imo i don't think some clubs have a best all time player, (nothing wrong with that, they're still great clubs) and if they do, it may have been someone who we haven't seen, that those who really follow the club know about (the same way people who don't follow madrid as much, may not be familiar with di stefano)

and inter comes to mind. zanetti was definitely a loyal player, and survived through all the bullshit; saw the downs, the ups, the downs again....but i'm not sure i feel right saying he was the best ever at inter. same with maldini. now granted it feels like i'm not showing the defenders any love; and yes zanetti did NOT have too many bad games, but i don't know about best player...btw i agree about beckenbauer and bayern

obviously, most successful; they have that in the bag, revered legends; they have that too. but its almost like they are being ranked best players by default, because other fantastic players on those teams did not stay as long as they did, and we never saw guiseppe meazza; who i'd put above zanetti- its very difficult to get a stadium in your name in italy....in such cases i think those clubs may not have a best player, and we're just putting the longest servant there by default....are we going to based on that say costacurta was the second best player at milan?

i'd like to know how the fans of those clubs feel about this question i've posed, maybe i have it all wrong

Yeah, I wouldn't particularly count longevity as a big factor to determine the best player to have ever played for said club.That belongs to a separate discussion like a greatest club legend discussion or something like that.

In this regard, i would put Baggio, Zidane and Platini(who were all in the peak of their careers) above ADP among the greatest players to play for Juventus.

In the same way, Baggio can't be considered one of the greatest players to play for Milan because his time there was largely a flop.

1) Higher level of play in longer time
2) Higher level of play in shorter time
3) Lesser level of play in longer time
4) Lesser level of play in shorter time
