Re: How good is Joe Hart?
Good GK that got overhyped by English media then suffered a massive dip in form.

Then when you look around the world, Neuer and Buffon are both better and Bravo and Navas both have fair arguments that they may also be better
Also just because I saw arguments against it, Howard in his prime is definitely right around if not better than Hart at the moment.
Nah Howard has always been bang average mid table standard keeper i'm not having that.
He's never at any stage been as good as Hart, there's a reason he's never left Everton and Hart has been City's keeper since he was a teenager.
Look i don't think Hart is amazing or anything but at the end of the day if he was just Howard level City would have got rid a long time ago.

Re: How good is Joe Hart?
Bang average yeah if you watch Howard this season and base his entire Everton career on that that's certainly understandable.
Everton has never had that great of a defense, I guess with Moyes it was pretty decent. The amount of times Howard has bailed Everton out is ridiculous. I'm also willing to guess you don't watch him with the US national team?
Anybody who watches him with the USMNT and has watched him even a fair amount at Everton wouldn't call him a "bang average mid table standard keeper". Has the record for most saves in a WC match and set a club record for cleansheets in a season at Everton.
Besides that ridiculous statement, I didn't say that Hart was Howard level. I agree that Hart has more talent and a higher ceiling, but Howard in his prime is certainly comparable to how Hart is playing right now. As in he's a good keeper, even great, but he's behind at least 3 or 4 keepers in the EPL alone--and Hart definitely is. He's fine for City but they could do better tbh.

Re: How good is Joe Hart?
Surely Willy Caballero will take over the starting spot from Hart this season?
Or what do you think?

Hart would not be top 5 among Serie A keepers. Buffon, Handanovic, Perin, Donnarumma and Reina are better.

Cut him some slack for not doing obnoxious, eccentric things other keepers do.
Did you just cross out Buffon?
Current Buffon shits all over Joe Hart.

There's a reason why Reina was let go from Liverpool and it's not because he looks like a poor man's version of Vin Diesel

Yes, the reason was Brendan Roger's bad judgement.

If by "just" you mean half a year ago, then yes, he did just cross out Buffon, the buffoon.

They should be perfect then for teams like Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley, Sunderland and Hull. Teams with lots of cash looking to survive.

Re: How good is Joe Hart?
Gladbach recently made fun of Joe Hart (the linked Twitter posts are in English, even though the article is in German):

Re: How good is Joe Hart?
Kinda hard to judge this guy. He's good, no doubt, but he looks somewhat suspect at times. Maybe slightly below James (retired England GK not Colombia AM).

Too mistake prone for me. No doubt he's good at what he does but not great in my book.
