Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Game ultimately came down to the strength of the bench. Bayern had Thiago and Coman to draw on. Juve, who were already playing 4 2nd choice players in the starting line up, had Sturaro and Pereyra. In the long run quality > superior tactics.

Seeing Juve get done in by a disallowed goal, how glorious

they had terrible tactics and subs in the second half and thats why they lost.
Should've kept Morata on and played with pressing

This is the problem with Italian football. It's full of cowardice. Basically, whenever Juventus were behind and needed to go for it, they outplayed Bayern. The moment they were ahead in the tie, they reverted back to coward tactics and sitting back and paid the price. Just freaking ATTACK, Pep teams can't deal with aggressive pressing with that shitty high backline, most obvious observation of all time.
Hope we draw Bayern next to teach them a lesson again. Rest of Europe is too incompetent.

Juve threw this away with their negative tactics and awful subs. Morata and Khedira are CL champions Mandzukic and Sturaro are not. Poor choice by Allegri

This is so true with Allegri, seen it so many times during his Milan days

The one good thing I learned from this tie is that el komander won't have a problem destroying bayern once more.

what are you talking about ?
Mandzukic won the CL with Bayern in 12/13 while playing a pivotal role while Sturaro was way more meaningful last year for Juve, even if they didn't win the damn thing, than Khedira was for us in 13/14.

lol Allegri had no choice our players died from the pressing in70th minute. The tactic was perfect we had no bench + we had key players injured from all areas on the field not just one. Dybala, Marchisio, Chiellini add Mandzu who wasn't fit

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Pep should never play Alonso in a big CL game ever again. Vidal does more than a fine job at DM. Benatia is a joke, he should also stay on the bench. Alaba also had a bunch of individual errors in the first half. He did better later on, though.
Juve threw the game away. Bayern looked shaky every time Juve pressed. Bayern aren't as good as Barca at building from the back, take advantage of that!
The Morata sub made sense when it happened. Mandzukic has better hold up play and is good at wasting time. In the end, Juve got tired and paid for it. Bayern had a much stronger bench.
A good game for sure, and the best CL game since Barca-Bayern.

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Simply cannot believe that Juve managed to throw this away. Certainly does stink of all those negative stereotypes for Italian football.
With that said, they most likely could've seen the game out had they had any of Dybala, Marchisio, or Chiellini. It was painfully obvious that the subs simply could not perform the same roles as the players they were replacing. Pereyra looked decent, but drifted inside far too often. Sturaro was erratic and ineffective in replacing Khedira. Worst of all, Juve might as well have played with 10 men rather than bring on Mandzukic. Where Morata was a constant threat in attack and a pest in defense, Mandzukic was quite simply anonymous.
Some combination of quality replacements and/or more aggressive tactics might have let them see out the second half. Unfortunately, they folded like a wet paper towel after the first goal went in.

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Not sure what some of you expected Juve to do .
You wanted them to keep pressing and attacking after scoring 2 goals away from home against a fast team like Bayern ? in what world does that make sense ?
And criticizing the subs is 100 % hindsight . Juve were 2 minutes away from qualifying .

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Sigh, had a full day of work and I miss this awesome match. Had to view it through gamecast. How did an Italian team blow a 2 goal lead especially a supposed "solid" team that is Juventus? I see my dear pal Futbol mentioned something about Juve were cowardly in the 2nd half, was this true? And what's with the subs from Juve? Seriously, a tie where either team being KO'd would have brought me immense joy and I missed it

Evra is at fault for the whole collapse. Shoul have just cleared the ball on Muller's goal instead of dribbling. And they would have won.

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Juve had 3 of their most important players out and still was so close to qualify.
Allegri had limited options, can't blame him.
Bayern needed a bit of luck to go through...as much as dominant they may have seemed on bith matches, possesion is not everything.
Bayern goal away being irregular,Morata regular goal seen offside and a few others episodes were against us.
FORZA JUVE!

Re: Juventus Vs Bayern München (CL 2015/16)
Crushed to concede in injury time like that.
Really devastating lost. The team walks away proud.
To all the harsh critics, look at our injuries. We are not so rich a team to shrug off 3 keys players being out. Yet they pinned Bayern back in Munich and were 2 minutes away from winning. That's besides the fact that Morata's goal was onside and that Neuer had an excellent game after a shaky start.
Allegri reinvented the team for that starting 11. New formation, new positions. Credit goes to him. Sturaro and Mandzukic didn't have the impact they usually have, but those are 100% valid subs. Those 2 always come through. Its just hindsight to put Max down for it.
With no Dybala, Mandzukic, Marchisio and Chiellini it weights you down. Imagine Barca starting without Messi, Suarez, Busquets and Pique. Or PSG without Ibra, Cavani, Motta and Thiago Silva. Its a whole lot harder to play.
Top Bayern team, top Juve team. Its a shame we met them so early.
What in the world is this?? Mandzukic was a treble winner before anyone even cared who Morata was. Sturaro played as much a role in our final run as Khedira did in your win.
