Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
Not everyone. Depend on who you ask, they'll say Kroos was good or Modric was good. Nacho did really well coming on as did Vasquez. Our final third was nonexistent and Varane put in a solid performance. Danilo was neither here nor there for me but Hala would say he was rubbish so you probably can take his word.

the team really missing an outlet in the attack to hold up the ball and link the play tbh.

Yeah but that's the only thing we do. As a team we look clueless in attack, starting with the midfielders.

The fact we're leading both our group and the league is a miracle considering our injury situation. I wouldn't be worried at all.

Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
PSG weren't good, we made them look good.
It's nice to be to be the lucky team for a change, I couldn't even remember the last time we got lucky.
As for the game, horrendous display by both teams, though PSG played better.
We played very well in Paris, not so much tonight.
As long as we win, I won't complain. However, when everybody gets back, Rafa better make sure we play attacking football. He's not at Liverpool, Inter or Napoli anymore. He's at Real Madrid. You must play attacking football, easy on the eyes and win. This defensive crap doesn't suit Real Madrid our the caliber of its players.

We played well without neither of them against PSG in Paris and Celta in Vigo. This has nothing to do with James or Benzema, this is solely on Rafa.

Whatever happened to us today, so many misplaced passes. That was just shocking. If we play like that against Barca, Suarez...Neymar and co will punish us big time.

Hamstring injury for Marcelo. He's now the 12 Real Madrid player to have gotten injured.
Call me pessimistic, but I think this would be the perfect time to say "what the *bleep* is happening!"

Yet we are leading La Liga and our group in the UCL. Clearly we are something without them.

Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
My respect for what Blanc is able to accomplish has increased incredibly over the past few months, he is good, or at least his coaching staff is really good. THe way he is getting this team to play is excellent, of all the pepcelona clones psg are easily the best. And to come to madrid to play as well truly surprised me. He has flaws like every coach but the goods are starting to outweight the bad by a lot. It's a shame he has to deal with Ibra in this state though...

Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
@ Valkyrja, we've always looked clueless in attack. last time we had a clue in attack was under pellegrini. don't get me wrong we've had some moments of magic in spurts but for like four years running, we have been at our best when we counter attack. even when we had ozil who was our creative guy, he'd have trouble against tight defenders or teams that could dominate us in midfield.
i don't see any of this really changing even if everybody gets back. as much as i like james, and with all the lovely goals he scores, i'm yet to see him take up the creative mantle. maybe cos he's largely wasted on the wings, or in center midfield as carlo did on occasion. i like modric but he's a deep lying playmaker. isco's good but he loses his head on occasions.
as far as marcelo, no surprise there. i was surprised he hadn't been injured yet. marcelo, james, modric (to an extent), bale are injuries we should always expect and be prepared for. at this point when any of those guys get's injured i just act like its another afternoon; and i expect the coaching staff to do the same and not use it as an excuse for dropping points. but at some stage i think players may need to start taking responsibility in terms of lifestyle, habits and training regiments with respect to these non-tackle/non-contact injuries.....as cold as it sounds, when u get signed for 30 plus million, we expect you on the pitch, and not constant trips to the clinic in one season

Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
I expect varane, casimero, kroos is next if they are not rested soon. Varane has been playing for ages every fking game, he is not ronaldo, he needs rest and when he gets injured, its usually a big injury or at least a month long injury.
Rest him ffs.
Rest him ffs.

Re: Real Madrid vs PSG Part 2
Seems like there is a divided opinion about who performed in this match. I only watched the match now and while we definitely struggled allot in the offense department the PSG having some kind of super game is definitely a overstatement.
Varane, what a player. What a game from him. He has got it all... Every single thing a great CB needs. I haven't seen such a complete CB in ages. He is imo performing as good as any CB I have seen play from the 90s onwards and let's not even go to how offense minded the game has become.
I thought Kroos had a good game. He although lost the individual battle with Motta , still contributed to the team well.
I'm a modric fanboy but this game he was completely shut down by Matiudi. He didn't use his abilities at all this game and looked a bit tensed on the ball. To be fair if you are man marked by such a player it's difficult to play your natural game.
Ramos too had an excellent game.
