Of course there is lol, it went way beyond defending his team mate. That carried on for ages with them going at each other. Costa trolled the *bleep* out of him and it worked.  Of course the ref should have never allowed to go any further after he booked them both.

He was defending his team mate then mike dean came out of nowhere and booked him. While talking to Mike dean, Costa slapped him in the chest in front of the ref yet nothing was done yet you are saying its his fault. So basically its his fault for standing up for a team mate who is being assaulted ?. What kind of logic is this  not sure if serious ffs

Also "at Madrid". He's always playacted, just like very single player in men's football does. Pepe has never been as bad as people claimed he is, only has had incidents once every 4 years or something.

Gabriel has played against Costa in Spain before so he knows his antics, lets not act like he is stupid. if anything the others did not do enough to stand for their team mates. Look at how Chelsea players surrounded the ref when Gabriel did that little kick ? Compare that to the response from Arsenal players when Costa assaulted Koscielny ? Compare that to when Costa put his hands on Gabriel ? where is the team unity ? blaming the only guy who stood up for his team mate is a little unfair ffs

@Mole all I'm trying to say though is that Ramos and Arbeloa are much dirtier. That Getafe incident has really imprinted itself in people's mind (as it should, was an absolute disgrace) but Pepe isn't a dirty player as Ramos, Costa, Arbeloa, Raul Garcia etc.

Never blame Gabriel but there is always risk to get involed against Costa. Also Mike Dean is always an idiot, all Arsenal players know that except Gabriel.

U can clearly see Costa just elbowed Bellerin and idiot Dean ignored like nothing happens. That was after he sent off Santi mind u.

Absolutely astonishing stuff. He is scary good at manipulation. There are simply few players in the world who are better at mind games than him at the moment.

He has been an absolute a-hole since he was at Rayo so not surprising things are still continuing. But unlike Suarez, this sort of dickery is controlled, the man knows exactly what he is doing and like Lewis, how he isn't sent off for this is really something. Think Xabi Alonso without the gentleman like aura.

Re: the Pepe debate: Pepe has mellowed a lot but his dives look clumsy due to his athletic build. Like watching John Cena do ballet or something. He is a CB in La Liga so he is always looking to do dirty things.
