Whatever happened to Zabaleta. Used to be about 2 times the player than Sagna, why isn't he playing.

dreadful game, both teams were very ordinary. Neither deserved to win but Juve punished were very clinical. Punished City's mistake.

Please excuse me when I leave now to drink a bottle of wine or two now. Gladbach were utterly desolate, got 3 (!) pens against them (which on the other side would probably have been judged as fouls committed by the attackers or so), and then it was capped by an own goal of my poor, cute goalie. Please feel free to have a good laugh on my account...

Re: Champions League 2015/16 | Group D
Gladbach were no where near as good as they were in the Europa League last season. I had no idea what their defenders were thinking, diving in all the time. No composure whatsoever.
The less said about Sommer for Konoplyanka's goal the better.
Sevilla were excellent, even by their own European standards. Top of the group.
City losing doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Re: Champions League 2015/16 | Group D
Two opportunistic goals by Juve, but great finishes both, especially the winning goal. City, being the home team, didn't create enough, didn't dominate enough. Buffon still made some great saves, though.
But this was the start the group needed, City losing at home. I'm digging this.
Just give me a call after the bottles are empty, ok.

Re: Champions League 2015/16 | Group D
Well, Gladbach are not only still missing Kramer+Kruse, they had to do without Stranzl, Dominguez, Johnson, and Herrmann (all injured) and Xhaka (suspended).
And Sevilla were not excellent - they continued where they stopped in the EL - they could do whatever they wanted without getting booked, while the cards all went to the Gladbach players (Xhaka's suspension was also due to the last match against Sevilla, by the way).

I guess by then I'm sort of dead -_-Art Morte wrote:Just give me a call after the bottles are empty, ok.

da fuq u on? they scored a foul goal, referee was clearly on their side, we scored a legit goal that was disallowed, we put the game at the pace we wanted and came from an undeserved goal down to win and yet you think we didn't deserve it? ok, lemme have whatever you are drinking m8tEL Patron wrote:dreadful game, both teams were very ordinary. The MC goal, which should have been disallowed, will probably relegate Juve to second place when all is said and done. Sevilla will win the group.

actually it was offside FIFA changed the rules 3-4 weeks ago (yes again ), Marotta triggered the offside because he had intention to shoot and influenced on the decision of the GK.

Re: Champions League 2015/16 | Group D
Pretty sure he would have been offside under the old rules as well though, Morata still tried to get to the ball so he's interfering with play regardless.
Right decision was made anyway.
