It has been almost a decade since we had a very good talented left-back (no dis to Evra, but we have to admit e only have at most 2 good years in him). I think this is a great buy and juventus have spent very, very good.

26 mln on a LB is important investment made by our management, looks like this guy has everything to justify that price and be our starter LB for the years to come.Let's hope he improves further with Juve

Great player, but we could have gotten him for cheaper imo with 1 year on his contract! I hope he justifies his price and becomes better than marcello!

And you think that we would have gotten him? City already offered him 5m per year if he doesn't extend and comes next year as a free agent.
Acording to some reports RM did the same

Re: Alex Sandro #12
Contract length isn't a big factor when the player in question is very talented, at the right age and isn't a gamble due to injuries or whatever.
Basically, clubs know how good he is. The only bonus is that the selling club have to sell now OR get nothing. But the competition for a player like that doesn't decrease and you still have to pay enough. Because if the club wants to cash in on him, and you low ball them, they can easily whore him out a bit and find a suitor or 3.

He is one of the top players in his position.
If you overpay, you overpay for quality. No issues over the price at all.
We've basically guaranteed ourselves a future world class fullback. You can say he's already close to gaining that status.

There's hardly a better option on the market nowadays.
26 is a lot of money for a LB though, especially for a Serie A club. Will be tough if he flops, but that shouldn't happen realistically.

Re: Alex Sandro #12
Been saying for the longest time that we need to invest in our full back area more than almost anywhere on the pitch. And finally we have.
Alex Sandro on one side, and Vrsaljko (Probably just raped his name) on the other theoretically after next season, sets us up in that area for years and years. Especially if we stick to a 4-3-1-2, having full backs who aren't just dogged runners but can actually handle having the ball and make something happen in the final 3rd is key.

From sending away Balzaretti and Criscito for Molinaro and De Ceglie, to Grosso and Traore, then from Estigarribia to Peluso and a great CMF converted into a WB in Asamoah, to Evra and now finally Alex Sandro.
What a ride it was

It had lots of ups and downs
And by lots of ups, I mean this is the first real up in a sea of depressing downs.

Signing Alex Sandro is like banging a Victoria's Secret model after 10 years of dating Sarah Jessica Parker.

Agreed, it's comparable to going from Zdenek Grygera, Zebina, Marco Motta to Lichtsteiner back in 2011

When u say his name it sounds like Alessandro so he must be good. Im very curious to this experiment as Juve never before had a traditional Brazilian fullback.

Re: Alex Sandro #12
He's just too good, seriously.A complete package. Its about time he gets the nod over Evra with no disrespect to the Frenchman who's been solid for us but Sandro offers so much more to the team.He should definitely be starting the Bayern game.
His linkups with Asamoah were also very nice to see.

Re: Alex Sandro #12
He only getting better.Good job from Allegri as well not to rush him, despite our poor start. His link up with Kwadwo and Pogba has been impressive.
Sandro's technical skills are on a level that i believe he can play as a winger with Evra covering the defensive part when needed.26 mln well spent.
