One of the greatest players in football history Alessandro Nesta has retired from professional football. For me, Sandro is our greatest defender ever after Baresi and Maldini. Milan legend. Makes the 30 mil we paid for him look like a bargain. He made the number 13 legendary and I don't think we will see a defender like him ever again in Milan or any other club for that matter.

Greatest tackler I have ever seen by miles and one of the greatest Defenders in history. A true legend of the game.

I still miss him . One of those players that any fan has immense respect and a GOAT player who trully honoured the shirt , Nesta had always been Milan's best ever signing in the 21st century in my book . Gave Milan so much , needless to say we will never forget him . I hope he can become a great coach as well.

One of my idols, and an example to professional athletes on and off the field, when i met him here in montreal eating at a corner restaurant, all i wanted was an autograph from him cuz he was eating and i didnt want to bother. he looked at me, saw that i was a bit nervous, shook my hand and told me to sit next to him and we chatted for about 10 min. then he told Di Vaio to take a picture with my phone LOL (no i did not take a pic with divaio after, he can go screw himself for all i care Juventino Razz

) he knows hes big in the football world, but he still took the time to chat with a fan. not every athlete is like that and for that i thank him for being very humble and very down to earth. his tackling was an art, a masterpiece all the time. and he will be missed. i miss him already when i start talking about things like this Sad
