Inter insists for Perisic , Schalke wants to sign Shaqiri but before it must sell Farfan to Galatasaray . When it will be done , Shaqiri and Perisic deals can be completed.
I prefer Farfan to stay on GL tbh

the best way to look at it is to see how much more you have won after spending that much more.

Well, Woody has until Jan 15th next year to renew his contract or Madrid (and any other club) would be able to talk to him directly and more than likely, take him for free (minus agent fee, signing on fee, etc.).

So the question is would De Gea actually renew?!

it would be pretty dumb to let De Gea walk for free lol. No keeper is worth more than 20-25 mil euros. The number Man U is asking is preposterous even by Madrid standards.

Maybe looking back, it would have been better if when De Gea had 2 years left to run on the deal (start of last summer) they gave him a new deal which would last for an extra year (so it runs out 2 summers from now) increased his wage but with a semi reasonable buy out clause (50m?) so Madrid can just activate it (you know they will) and everyone gets what they want.

They probably could have guessed he would have been one of the targets when Madrid wanted to replace Iker or even Barca replace Valdes at the time.

why money is not a issue for us...rather keep the world class talent another season if they dont meet our demands

Doesn't mean United shouldn't be prudent and get what they can get from a potential sale. Letting him go on a free is financial loss for them, regardless of how much money they have.

Good business dictates that they try to recoup every last penny they paid for him and they have the ability to certainly do that. A team in such a strong financial position shouldn't be letting players go on a free just because they can. Hell, they shouldn't even be letting him go at a loss.

It never works to keep a player on his last season... they usually are more concerned with avoiding injury then winning anything. Just look at Khedira and Real Madrid this past season.

De Gea would go through the motions. He wouldn't be the same.

Obviously money is not a huge restraint for either club however as McLewis said, this doesn't mean that they can be irresponsible. The key issue though is how United will be affected on the pitch over the next season. If they cannot feasibly acquire a goalkeeper of a similar stature to De Gea then no fee would sufficiently compensate them this summer. Granted, there aren't many around on De Gea's level but if United can acquire another keeper they have confidence in, such as Lloris, then it would be preferable in my eyes to having a player who has one eye on the exit for a whole season.

The ball is rightfully in United's court though. If I were them I'd rather lose a fee than play the next season with a keeper they don't have full confidence in. This being said it appears they'll have to replace him fairly soon in any case so if they have a target in mind, now is the time to get it sorted.
