So we select a guy who may or may not be a star in 5 years? How the hell is that supposed to help us win now? We have a superstar who needs help in Carmelo Anthony and this is the guy you get to supplement him? Are you kidding me? How can you defend this pick?
Who else would help you win straight away? Mudiay is as much a project as Kristaps ffs. Only the top 3 are in the rookie of the year race anyways imo.
Winslow and Mudiay were far far better picks in terms of NBA readiness. Carmelo Anthony is in his prime now not in 5 years, NOW
I mean I think Windslow can be a great player but he fell to 10th. Sure Jordan is the biggest idiot in the world for not taking him at 9. But oh well. Mudiay is a project as well, he didn't play in college either. A lot of draft experts and gms had Porzingus high. Magic would 100% taken him if we didn't.
The pick is questionable for sure but we were screwed anyways when the lottery fell to 4. Clear top 3 were gone. Every other pick at 4 is a project/risk at 4.
I would have rather traded the pick down

The Bucks will take Greieves Vasquez into space, sending a future first and second round pick to Raptors, league source tells Yahoo.
He's not great but taking him to space seems harsh.

Boston took Terry Rozier, a bit of reach but he's got a lot of upside. But it doesn't make sense to me at all unless another move is coming.

Yeah but the only ones that are really valuable are the 2016-18 Brooklyn picks. Three straight 1st rounders from them starting next year for 2 guys who aren't even on their team anymore. Billy King the legend

Getting 3 1sts in a row for basically nothing is amazing no matter what. Any good SF defenders available? That's our biggest need imo.

I think either the Blazers or Cavs take him before 27 but he could be there
Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Tim Hardaway Jr to the Hawks for PG Jerrian Grant.
I like that for the Knicks

Me as well, only watched him a handful of times but he looked good in the NCAA tournament.

Guessing it means getting a player that can shoot the 3, so you can get easier buckets in the paint.

Didn't know he was related to the 76ers' Grant. Seems like there's usually one good brother and the other is garbage, so Jerian has that going for him. Hope Daniel Hamilton keeps that trend going next year.

It means forcing your defender to guard you away from the basket to open up lanes for your teammates. Like with Kaminsky, you have to guard him out to the 3pt line so that creates room for his teammates.
tl;dr using a jumpshot to get the defender away from the basket
Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
On that note, Jordan needs to stick to acting before front desk work.
Look I'll support Kaminsky all the way, I love the guy and everything he's given Wisconsin over the last two years, but picking Kaminsky over Winslow
Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't think Kaminsky has what it takes to be a success in the NBA. I think he'll turn out to be a decent player, perhaps a role player for some teams, but I'm not confident in his ability to become more than that. We'll see I guess.
EDIT: thanks dmize, freeza

There's a slight confusion here, you're reading that tweet.
The explanations from Dmize and Freeza are for in game play in basketball.
There was a typo in the tweet. He meant they took Vazquez "into cap space"
