Re: Dark Souls 3
Kinda like how Bloodborne will always remain my favourite although it's probably the best of the soulsborne series in any case

Re: Dark Souls 3
I'm not looking forward to fighting this dragon btw, heard it's more so an annoying endurance test than anything else. Might even summon for it if it takes me more than 20 attempts solo since I was watching a stream last night and someone had an amazing weapon and you need to beat the boss to get it smh.

Re: Dark Souls 3
I'm not playing the DLC again either but I missed an entire NPC questline somehow, tbh I never even saw the NPC once, read about it online and it seems like a pretty good questline too, just incredibly hard to find unless you know where you're looking. smh.
I think I got almost all the hidden items and stuff though besides 1 ring 1st attempt

Re: Dark Souls 3
didn't play it yesterday, gonna try to smash the optional boss today but I was watching streams last night and even ppl who play souls games for a living and are GOAT took hours against him, it's ab absolutely bs fight lmao
summoning help actually works against you apparently since he will double his resistances and have 2x the HP
think this might be the first boss in the series I don't beat

Re: Dark Souls 3
seems incredibly hard to hit him, can't even summon for the fight anyway, summon signs disappear too fast, far too many ppl trying to summon help for him than there are ppl offering lol

Re: Dark Souls 3
got about 30% of its HP when playing stupidly in my second attempt
but omg this fight is ridiculous, it's both epic and insanely broken
think orphan of kos but he can 3 shot you and has attacks that reach THE ENTIRE arena and it has nameless king level bad camera and hitbox
like one attack is literally unavoidable and takes 40% of my health

Re: Dark Souls 3
you can't really cheese it man, I just beat it with one other summon though lol. I can't even take credit, whoever this guy was he was the MVP
I tried it with 2 other summons but both died within 1 min and I got it to 40% solo but then it goes HAM, will be impressed if you solo it

Re: Dark Souls 3
Sounds ridiculous man.
Heard Pyro nor dark pyro do shit to him. Don't imagine you can parry him either?

Re: Dark Souls 3
lmao parry nah no chance, the arena is huge and he can cover the entire ground in like 0.1 seconds if he wants, lost count of the amount of times I spent 15 seconds running across the arena to attack and he dashed away
it can be a chore to even land hits on it
this japanese guy I summoned dodged everything though, he only got hit like 10 times and somehow inflicted it with something I think, not sure what
insane fight but definitely not impossible since I got it to like 30% a couple times

Re: Dark Souls 3
the weapons and armor sets in this dlc are amazing though man, gonna experiment with them a bit also some really cool items are locked behind beating the optional boss so it's not really optional

Re: Dark Souls 3
just watched an unbelievably meh streamer beat the boss solo ffs, took about 15 tries for him, I didn't realize you could block 90% of its attacks with a few high stability shields in the game

Re: Dark Souls 3
looking forward to your thoughts on that first boss
reminds me of a Bloodborne type boss in the way it attacks, took me a few attempts but it's just an endurance battle IMO, gotta attack once or twice then wait 30 seconds for an opening

Re: Dark Souls 3
huh? what don't you get
we're at the world's end and everything has collapsed and mashed together
the area of the first boss is actually firelink shrine from DS1, someone uncovered the fact and my mind was blown afterwards, it's hard to tell but it's 100% that
my fav location in the souls series
