Re: 2015/16 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Said this is in Milan section but I don't think there's been many decent strikers available.

i think if we can find a suitable new left back we will let him go. He had too many fitness issues with us and i don't think he enthusiasm lots of people around the club nowadays. But he is CR best friendDonuts wrote:is coentrao leaving?

Man Utd have enquired about the contact status' of Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo in recent weeks and have now also enquired about Varane, according to AS. The responses to all enquires have so far been negative.

Not surprised tbh. Galliani has had a hard-on for him for two years now
Can any regular Porto watchers give an opinion on him? From what I saw of him in the WC, he seemed a bit of a donkey with the ball at his feet.
I think donkey is a little unfair. He can control the ball or lay it off and stuff like that. But he obviously isnt someone who can play other players in or do anything remotely complicated. You dont want him touching the ball alot, that's obviously true.
But he is a great finisher in the air, he can finish with both feet and scores some surprisingly high level goals for someone with limited skills.
I would defiantely rather have him than Mandzukic for example. You know what your getting with Mandz, hard work and 15-20 goals..Jackson could be a guy who gets 25+ goals..then again he could be a Soldado for Spurs if it all goes wrong. But yeah, I would certaintly rather the risk of Jackson than the relative safety of Mandz.

Re: 2015/16 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
We haven't had a creative midfield since the Carlo days. Their is no guarantee that they'll actually get a creative midfielder in. I'm sure if we do end up signing him he will be our marquee forward signing. And by the way you describe he seems very reliant on service and what we need is more of creative forward, but those are hard to find and expensive to buy.
Honestly, do you see Martinez as being a player who could make something out of nothing when the other players are struggling to get the ball to him?

Yeah Mr I play good when i want and spend mybtime making basic defending mistakes because i score on corners can jog on tbh. Maybe changing club he will be centered on football but he isnt at all with us. He should be comfortably and consistently elite at this age but he still don't play good seasons through and through. The only thing that bothers me is that he is a leader and that still means something for a group

Tom, I get it that as a Al Jazira fan you're excited about Gervinho moving there, but pls go.

tbf will take Ramos in a heartbeat. We desperately need a leader in defense. He is one of the best in that role surely.

Varane atm =
Paying him that would be absolutely ridiculous. He's not even worth a quarter of that.

Re: 2015/16 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
ten million for ramos over the course of 5 years is ridiculous, even that header against atleti in the final doesn't warrant that. the guy's getting older, but his strength has always been his athletic ability, not his intelligence or defensive acumen, so such a move will be risky for us.....and based on this season, i'm not sure anybody on the team is in a position to discuss contracts and what they think they "deserve"....we blew the season and our rivals won a second treble. if we have any pride we should be looking to maintain fitness and react next season, and btw i love pique's little gibe....if the rivals winning three titles isn't enough to motivate the players, then i expect them to get motivation from the gibes.....lol ramos wanting ten mill, the mistakes and cards he makes and gets should even be subtracted from his wages, maybe that will keep him alert

Re: 2015/16 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
FFS franchise mentioning Soldado to Spurs. Still have nightmares.
Now he never was that great in any respect to begin with, but if he actually ended up finishing the chances he had and was very capable of finishing, he would have ended up with like 15 or so league goals and 20+ in all comps...his decline was Torres like. Even scoring the most simple tap ins, he wouldn't have been an abject failure. He couldn't even do that though.

Pity about Vietto. Wish we could have got him.
He'll do amazing under Simeone. Can't wait for Griezmann-Vietto partnership ffs

So when Ings, the standard yearly Liverpool mediocre midtable striker signing leaves, they have someone in place.

Ings was apparently signed as 3rd/4th choice.
Every effing summer Liverpool signgs a 3rd-4th choice striker before they address anything else.
2012 - Borini
2013 - Aspas
2014 - Lambert
2015 - Ings
You would think they would learn by now.
