we need them to be more than fired up, being fired up alone isn't going to cut it. two things we need are discipline and imagination. as i've said we find it hard to create something from out of nothing, especially in tough games. besides, if we can beat juventus, its a tough final ahead, and that's where we need to exercise such discipline, today we only played "alright" because valencia thought they had gotten a result and had no interest in pushing....against a stronger team we could have been punished, that we were chasing a result left us exposed to foolish errors that valencia could not capitalize on.....juventus nor barcelona would not let such errors slide.

Bale was quiet good in the first half but dissapeared in the second

There are many many players that played worse than him and he wasn't selfish, hopefully a game to build from

I am more pissed with Ronaldo taking fks from obscure angles when we are losing instead of passing it on so that James or Isco can hit it into the box. We wasted alot of freekicks like that

Illarra played well, like, universally well. I found Bale had a decent match, better than Ronaldo but the Bernabeu hates Bale so that ends that really. We did well to come back but Alves just was on point today.

We really really really missed Benzema and Modric.

this....after that pk miss when i saw him stand in front of every free kick it made me cringe. besides in these kind of games i don't know why we don't occasionally fancy some sort of trick/indirect free kick (a specialty of some of the old argentine teams from the late 80s to 90s) catch them off guard, by passing the ball instead of going for a direct shot, especially if you've only scored one free kick all season and your tally from set pieces has strongly depreciated

I got to give credit where credit is due. I was nervous with him coming on in the situation we were in.

He was one of our best tonight and played very well. Moved the ball forward and help break up several attacking opportunities that Valencia were starting to string together.

Maybe this will get some recognition from Carlo and who knows maybe a starting spot on Wednesday.

Carlo should play Illarra in front of defense and Kroos at CM .

@val carlo should've done that the moment modric went down, cause illarra add the balance we need, it might not be the same quality, but he keep the shape

I didn't watch the game, I haven't seen highlights. All I know is that we were 0-2 down and CR missed a pen.

You missed a lot of chances and defended poorly when they countered. Lost control of the match whenever they threatened.

Can we now say goobye to our title hopes? Maybe Barca can lose a couple of their last games? *fingers-crossed* Just disappointed that we drew at home. Hopefully the players are more determined to drop Juve out of the Champions League.
