YEAAAAAAH.

So Wood got injured 15 mins in the game after Huntelaar scored a goal in the opening 22 minutes and I was like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

But then the sub (Maier, who I normally rotate with Alaba) came on and scored one as well as bag an assist for Volland to win the game

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 Newsreport-1

I have avenged you RWO! And tanking that 5-0 loss was worth it since the Schalke players were all pretty much in red fitness in the final 1/3 of the match and I rested my entire team. Had to play Benjamin at RB and Stahl as a DM since I wasn't confident in Malura being a good enough back up and Stahl had higher DM stats than Malura had RB stats.

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 AvengeRWO

Also, what kind of assistant SCHEDULES A GAME AT 8PM ON NEW YEARS EVE?!

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 Beatschalke-1

I'm sick and tired of injuries to my strikers though -.-

Starting to feel bad about the Alaba cheat though, he's been an absolute beast.

End of season update:

Fooled another youngster into thinking I was Man City (Fierro).

Secured the 2nd Bundesliga Title with 2 games to spare (Frankfurt really gave me a chase after I dropped 8 points in 3 matches[including a loss to them]). Now about to consign Braunschweig to relegation (16th and in need of a win to survive) and prepare for the Pokal final.

Beat Hannover in the QF of the Pokal and comfortably beat Werder Bremen in the SF but now I'm up against Neverkusen in the final, who've beaten Bayern and Dortmund to get to the final. I hope that Neverkusen win their final Buli match so I get into the EL no matter the result of the final.

Wish me luck!

Other Leagues:
Dortmund (67) are leading the Buli by 3 points over Bayern (64) with 1 game left, both are playing mid-table teams so Dortmund will probably win it.

Manchester United (93) have an 11 point lead in the EPL. Arsenal (82) and Man City (72) qualified for the CL whilst Liverpool (55), Chelsea (55), Villa (54) and Fulham (52) are fighting for 4th.

RM and Barca are in the CL final after beating the Manchester clubs.
Bayern and Bilbao are in the EL final.

And yay for RWO! RW-Oberhausen barely avoid relegation from Buli3

EDIT:

LOL I lost to Braunschweig and they stayed in Buli2.

but...

New to the series. Few questions -

Which patch ( if any ) should I download ?

And what's the deal with the editor ? Is it necessary ? This game seems complicated as it is..so should I just take my time in familiarizing and then download the editor ?

( I'm playing a pirated PC version btw )

Pre-season update:

Holy F***. I just beat Inter to Kara's signature. They even bid 750k more than me (8.25 vs 7.50)

And he didn't want to sign for me last summer xD

I also managed to sign Shaqiri Chaka

PLUS I managed to win what equates to a 2nd Bundesliga side treble, Buli2, DFB Pokal and the Supercup Chaka

I don't even know how I won the Supercup :S, I was missing 4 key players - Alaba and Shaqiri out on internationals, Lauth only had enough fitness to play for 20 minutes and Bierofka is suffering a long-term injury.

So I decided to play Lauth for the 20 mins or so, and sub on Jais, and then this happened:

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 Howreport

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 How

Jais

@Lizardking if you find a non-wholesome patch let me know, I haven't found one. The database editor is included with the game. As for learning the game, idk what else to say then just play it and familiarize yourself with it Smile

if your playing pirated one then don't go beyond 12.0.4

there are two types of editors, one is the one that comes with the game and only can be used before starting a new game.

other which can be used in game and can change stats, injures etc called FMTRE (basically cheating if you want)

plus it always a good idea to download custom patchs from offical SI forum or other forums.. people update the league and add more league with the custom patches... for example i have Pakistan league and NT. Which is not normally available

fm scout, fm base are two good sites

http://community.sigames.com/ is another really good forum, the official site with

and this one http://sortitoutsi.net/forum/index

Fair enough, Phritz.

Looking to choose between either of these two :

http://www.fmscout.com/a-fm12-patch-1210.html

http://www.fmscout.com/a-fm12-patch-1220.html

Besides that, I'll probably try running the game without patches for a while. See how that turns out. No point in over complicating things given that I'm new to the game. Really can't wait though...game looks daunting and the database is overwhelming. I expect to be obsessed within a week Very Happy

Edit : Thanks for the feedback Legend. Pretty much all I wanted to know Thumbs up

the patchs don't do much expect update the players to the recent transfer

and don't update with those two..... the highest you should go to is 12.0.4 if you have a pirated version. there is no crack for anything higher then that....

Do you have issues comparing players using the 12.0.4 patch ? It seems like a fairly common complaint that installing the patch causes the system to crash when comparing two players. Has this ever happened to you ?

Regardless, seeing as to how I don't have many other options, I'll still give 12.0.4 a download. I'm sure the pros outweighs the cons since the patch fixes a lot of other bugs and issues. I'll wait to hear from you before I install it though.

Anywas Update on my New Save Game (Lost my Bilbao one after comp got corrupted)

So My goal was to start at my Home Country League and win a few there until i was ready to move on to England

So After winning everything at my club (WAPDA) including, 2 tittles, 2 cups and 2 Asian President Cup (couldn't get into AFC Champions League due to my league being crap). I decided to move to England

Before i started the game i had added a custom patch so i could play up to the 8th tier of England Football. I wanted to take the worst team in Regional First Division to PL over time, and build up the clubs stature.

So 02-03 season i left WAPDA and join a team called Sholing which had the worst Stadium in the Leagues(s).

The Good thing about anything under Bet Square Bet Premier League (aka the Conference league) the Transfer season is all season long. So i was always able to find free good players

Anyways fast forward to now, Got Promoted Twice in 2 years by winning both times, now i am in the 6th Tier one below the Conference.

My Club's Stature is already big and my club is worth now 1.6mil (used to be 20k & 2mil in debt). During PreSeason i have tons of Friendly League Tournaments with Big teams who are willing to play, this gets me around 1mil in a pre season.

My Next Goal is to get the Club into League 2 in around 3-4 years and build a new stadium

Official Football Manager Thread - Page 29 2ujqxqq

In Other news Wenger and SAF retire. SAF retired after winning Man U's 20th title, another CL, FA Cup, League Cup.

While Wenger retired after winning EPL 3 years in a row and winning CL twice in a row, FA Cup 3 times in a row. #Legend

How did that finish 1:0... and it even took a penalty for me to score...

Beast keeper, half expected him to save the penalty but Lauth panenka <3

Oh, and I hit the woodwork like 5 times. Not grazed, that happened like 3 times, but bounced back into dangerous play.

I remember one time when I had over 35 shots (I believe 38) against 3 of my opponent, around 8-9 shots ended on target and just 1 goal, my opponent 2 out of 2 on target and a single goal, the match ended 1-1

the game sometimes likes to be rough

How old is Sahin now o_O

His mental attributes must be beast o_O

So I decided to switch to classic, because unless you update you have more control over what the players do.

So I fielded a 4-2-3-1 with Inside forwards.
The style was short attacking one touch passing with the inside forwards swapping positions from time to time to behave as traditional wingers. I started the season with Lauth and Jais but found both of them lacking in one way. I snapped up Niang and Reus during the transfer window and both had an immediate impact. Reus with 9 goals and 12 assists in 26 games and a rating of 7.66 and Niang managed 14 goals and 6 assists in 21 appearances with a rating of 7.42. Shaqiri managed 10 goals and 17 assists in 37 appearances since his signing Smile

(Maier has become a 4.5 star potential from all the starts)
