Where will Klopp go next?
Klopp's next gig
Linked to City. Linked to Milan. Anyone willing to take a punt?

As long as he doesn't go to the Bitters. PSG perhaps?

Re: Klopp's next gig
I don't think it will happen but BC bringing up Barca in the other thread made me think.
I wouldn't be surprised if they go for it considering all the hype driven nonsense surrounding new elections.
You would have to consider City favourites though.

Re: Klopp's next gig
Why is City favorite? except that they are on the market for a new coach?
What exactly is attractive about coaching them? that's the one thing i am struggling to understand

Because I think he will go to England and it's the only big team with a job opening.

Re: Klopp's next gig
My initial guess is City. Pellegrini is likely gonna get axed and the other "big" clubs have a manager at the moment. So City seems like the likely destination.
My second guess would be Arsenal. I think the boards been hinting at being tired of Wenger not winning anything and if they want to start new, Klopp would be the guy to do it with. I actually favor Klopp to pick Arsenal over City for some reason, even though City would probably offer more and likely out bid Arsenal. Plus the odds of Arsenal having Wenger resign are slim...so i still stick with City being the favorites in England.
My wild card would be Barcelona. I would say Barca just because as Mole said, we are going to have elections this summer and just about guaranteed to have a new board. Our new president is going to want to present new shinny things, and usher in that he is bringing in change, new ideas etc from the old board. What better way than to bring in a guy like Klopp to present as the new era of the new board. That said i don't believe this will happen.
Judging from Klopps interview, it sounds like he is headed towards England, so I stick with City as being the favorites to land him.

Re: Klopp's next gig
I said before that the Barça campaign will be based around a sporting director and manager because we can't sign players, and snow that Kopp is in the market I can easily see us going for him. On the other hand he is neither catalán nor Dutch so I'm not 100% sure.
I think he will end up at City.

I think it's also possible, but I think Perez would rather have a yes man like he has in Ancelotti.

Doesn't seem Madrid quality tbh
few key players got injured and he dragged Dortmund to the bottom of the table.

Yep.
BVB placed 13th when Klopp took charge.
08/09 netspend: €1,5m
09/10 netspend: €4,6m
10/11 netspend: €950k
In that season, BVB win the title
11/12 netspend: €640k PROFIT
Yet Klopp wins the title for a 2nd consecutive season & wins the DFB Pokal, beating Bayern 5-2 in the finals.
Tactically, destroys the most expensively assembled squad in football, beating Mourinho 4-1 in CL Semi....only losing the CL final to one of the greatest teams of our generation (and BVB without their best player)
But sadly in football, you're only as good as your last season
He'll have plenty of offers.
I can see our owners having a chat if we bottle the Cup or don't get 4th.

Re: Klopp's next gig
Will take a sabbatical like Pep for an year and after that he will take up Real job.
For some reason I cant see him at City. I think between City and Ars, the latter have more chance to snap him.
